Is it really that bad though?
Aside from Michigan, I don't see any major issues with it. They all seem to play at least 1 team that is on equal, or relatively equal footing to them OOC. And I don't really see the need for a lot of those teams to go out and play super elite teams (and get their brains beat in), or load their OOC up with multiple big OOC games. They need to be trying to schedule as many wins as they can, without going overboard with the directional schools

I don’t know what people expect from OOC. The premier teams usually always schedule a game with another good P5 team, granted these schedules are made years in advance so one team may not be good by the time they play. It’s not like Illinois and Rutgers are going to schedule Bama and UGA every year. If you posted every conferences OOC by team it will basically always have two weak teams and one good team

Personally I’d prefer we’d play one big OOC games a year and two MAC teams.
I think the big OOC game helps keep the kids focused in the offseason, and even if you lose it’s a good barometer for where you are as a team and what you need to adjust before league play.
It’s the mid-top tier G5 teams I don’t see any value in playing. It shouldn’t be this way, but I don’t think the committee views beating a decent G5 all that much differently than beating up on a awful one.

I don't care what the OOC schedule is to be honest. The committee doesn't care and why should we? Those schedules look FORD TOUGH and I love it.

Do OU and UT regret jumping to the SEC if it means they don’t go to a 12 team playoff until 2026?
I’d guess they now try to hold out in the Big XII until then, right? If I’m the XII, I’d kick them out now and force them to run that gauntlet now with these new coaches to maximize the embarrassment.

Ohio State always has a P5 opponent, in state team, and then a G5 team. One year they were supposed to have 3 P5 OOC but they got 2 canceled. Only played one FCS school and that was a last minute replacement for Tennessee game being canceled. They also play Notre Dame, Texas/Washington (in the same year), Georgia, and Bama in the next few seasons.

Idk man... Ohio State has a long history of playing the big dogs. They splice in a Bowling Green and Tulsa every other year but gotta give them props for the games they have played.
