So this could be helpful when filing taxes this year. So instead of filing 2020 we just refile 2019 income if we want?.? Am I understanding this right?.? That means the same/similar tax refund/bill we got 2019?.? Why am I paying taxes on my UI then?.? Been up almost 2 days, so I feel like I'm missing something here... brains kind of foggy.

Somebody school me on this, I know we've got some accountants/tax preppers in here.

Think I might hire a pro this year and wait until the very last hour, of the very last day.

Researched it and it doesn't apply to me cause I made too much in 2019 to qualify for EIC.
Look at this chart. If you made more than the amount in the column that applies to you and your 2019 wages, the"look back" tax break doesn't apply to you because you didn't qualify for an earned income credit.

I started working a gig job more this year where tax isn’t taken out from my weekly checks. If I could file for last year and not pay on those taxes that’d be nice

Lol tried turbo tax for the first time. If you want anything accounted for you have to pay to upgrade. I’m fine with that but don’t sit here and say it’s free lol

Taxact charged me $5. so we will go with them.

Think I paid 20-30 total? Don’t remember. Basically if you don’t want the absolute minimum rerun you have to pay something. Still cheaper than HR block or other places like that

Don’t know the actual number, but I was able to add my house stuff, school tuition, work related expenses, charitable expenses, etc. so whatever that added.

i used freetaxusa and paid $12 bucks state and federal was free
