Im taking AI over Harden anyday. AI was playing a game at 6"1' that gaurds werent supposed to be playing not too mention he was running through hand checks getting fouled not trying to just create contact. AI is a gem only knock is not winning a title but honestly he had no chance of beating that Lakers team , not too mention he got literally no help. McKie was 2nd best player on that team

Love when folks use the word literally in a figurative manner.

Not today Jemele
Nobody is asking you to participate. We know where YOU stand..

I just never thought Kobe was a CONSENSUS Top 10.

Jordan
Bird
Magic
Kareem
Wilt
Russell
Hakeem
Shaq
Duncan
LeBron

Are the top 10 that I GENERALLY see in people's Top 10s.

Kobe might be in there in place of someone on a few lists but CONSENSUS, I never saw it (from people).

Again, Kobe IS my dude

Also the Steph slander is crazy this man has changed the game, MVP MVP

Too me talent equates to skill + physical ability. Steph comes up short in the physical ability part.

This statement makes no sense, so we gon literally sit here and act like Deron Williams and CP werent the 2 best pg's in the league at one time? Both of which play below the rim. Honestly outside of Baron Davis aint to many small PG's from that era that was banging on people and I mean actual PG do not mention Steve Francis that wasnt his role until Mobley got there

It's not a knock, just a fact. Similarly Russ is got an overabundance of physical gifts yet lacks skill in most areas. Steph plays below the rim. The original talk was about KD being possibly top 3 talented ever. He's 7 feet, with guard skills, that has unlimited range. That's never been seen before. We've seen people with Bron's body type before and skill (Malone and Magic) but not necessarily the combo of both. Wilt was a Olympic class athlete. And MJ was really at the top of both. It's a top 3 or 5 or whatever, everybody can't be in it.

We talking about the same 2001 run where Dikembe avg 16 and 15 with 3 blocks in the ECF? The same ECF finals where AI shot 34% for the entire series? The same series where Dikembe went 22 and 19 with 7 blocks in game 7?

Dikembe gave them 14 and 14 with 3 blocks a gme that postseason. Iverson gave them 39.8% shooting.
dikembe was definfitely a big part of it, but don't let FG% fool you. you have to understand that iverson was the only player that could create shot in that team. he was literally swarmed, defensively by the bucks. it was stop AI and let anyone else shoot.

he came through when it mattered the most. dropped 44 pts in 50% shooting in game 7 in the ECF. boy was relentless.

Hakeem ain't consensus either then.

Well, it depends on what the individual views as a "talent."
Ranking "different" things is tough.

It is tough to say KD/LeBron is a Top 3 talent ever when you are comparing them to other wierdly constructed FREAKS.

You can make the case for many folks

Hakeem: Big that was as nimble as he has (Footwork).
Shaq: Big with the combination of Power/Agility
Barkley: Body type combined with athleticism
Magic: 6'9 PG with the vision that we have never seen before
e
There are PLENTY of "wild" talents, so if someone doesn't want to put KD/LeBron in their Top 3, you should be able to understand. (As long as they can argue for others)

Harden stans gassed up by some step backs and broken ankles
The man ain’t never carried a team to the Finals as a lead player and he choked in his one appearance as a 6th man averaging just 12 ppg. Choked again vs spurs 2 years ago

He lucky he play in this era where he can get all them FTs by snapping his head back and throwing his arms into you as he shoots

An MVP that should've gone to Shaq. Harden has an MVP too, that he actually deserved.

So this is based on one game? Makes sense. And it wasn't really by himself. Kobe did as much as Iverson to help Philly win that game. 7-22 shooting with 6 turnovers.

"But Iverson's 2001 run"

Against juggernauts like the 2001 Pacers, Raptors, and Bucks, and they needed extremely one-sided officiating to get past Milwaukee. Meanwhile Harden's teams have lost to the Warriors 3 times.

Kobe didnt even deserve one MVP. Since we being honest .
I laugh when I here people say Iverson carried a team to the finals. That never happened. Dude shot 34 percent for the series yet carried them. Only Kobe fans would be impressed about someone shootin low 30 percent for whole series.

Took kobe till his 6th finals trip to win a finals MVP. The nerve of Kobe fans to talk about finals MVPs .

People gotta stop bringing up AI's FG% like he wasn't playing in a totally different era where defenders could by physical and knock him around. The best Guards in the league was only shooting 42-45% from the field. Hate doing hypotheticals but put a 25 year old Kobe or TMac in todays game they're shooting 47-49%. Harden plays in a softer era AND still shoots terrible in the playoffs and looks lost when he can't get to the FT line.

2009 & 2010

Being the best player on a championship team.

30/6/5
29/6/6

During those playoff runs
So does being the best player on a team automatically give you the right to say, you are CARRYING the team?

Legit question.

That is a great video. Bucks had Allen, Cassell, 'Big Dog', Tim Thomas and 'Ervin' Johnson yet they couldn't handle AI. :smh::smh::smh:

Hell 32 year old Kobe was shooting 46% in the playoffs in 09-10 scoring 30 a game.

What if I told you Steph and Kobe have near identical FG% in the playoffs.

No. The only player that you can even make a case "carried" the team is Hakeem in 94 and 95 and even he had Kenny Smith go crazy game 1 against Orlando which killed the Magic's spirit. "Carrying the team" is just another ESPN term folks ran with post Jordan.

DCAllAfrican DCAllAfrican Not even hating or being confrontational for the sake of being confrontational. Do you ever think maybe you might be wrong, or your opinion is just an opinion like everyone else's?
You just come across as someone who thinks his opinions are facts and gospel. Maybe it's just how you communicate online but that's my worthless 2cents.
