But never forget:

Sounds good...but if this were purely physical, why the extreme lack of transparency from both himself and team?

if the kid was hurt...why not just come out from the jump and explain it? there's no way someone on twitter has this debunked and he and the team don't.

the way they've gone about it isn't doing him any favors.

Because he was hurt at the team facility, that is the only thing I could think of.

Whole thing a mystery man.....but I have no doubt it is nerve damage and that nerve connects the shoulder and has a huge impact on shooting.

I feel like if they didn't come to blows, or same some seriously disparaging things, then this piece by woj was pretty pointless.

I mean it could be, but these are STUDENTS with limited experience making a complete guess without actually assessing Fultz in person or looking at any of his records (MRI, X-rays, EMG, etc).

Then has the nerve to say this:

What does Markelle do to recover?

If Markelle’s people were smart, they would give me a call so that I could share with them the rehabilitation program I have used to bring me from unable to lift my arm above my shoulder after 8 years, to full elevation in only 3 months.

Also, a winged scapula can be caused by many different ailments, not just LTN palsy. Hell I have two winged scapulae and my nerves are fine. It could be muscle imbalances, serratus weakness, etc.

I have no idea if this is true or not but there’s a theory that he hurt his shoulder doing stunts on his bike which would explain the lack of transparency on his part.

This is from the weeks leading up to the draft:

For example, Markelle revealed his first love was BMX biking. At the GW workout, he proudly showed off various scars he's accrued over the years. "I'd do wheelies, flips, all that," he says of his childhood. "We used to have a ramp right there in the neighborhood. We used to ride the downhill and try to jump over the mailbox. We'd do crazy stuff. Man, I was a daredevil."

His mom remembers looking out her window one Easter to see her son riding through the neighborhood standing on his bike seat, trying to do jumps into the street. "Not very much fear," she says. "Like when he took karate the instructor said, 'I'm afraid 'Kelle's gonna try to, like, jump through the wall.'"

For the past 12 months or so, Markelle Fultz has been something of an urban legend among basketball fans who care too much about mock drafts. Everyone knows his name, but few know much about him. So it's helpful to find out that he's secretly had a reckless streak since birth.

He did say he cut back on that though. This is from right after the draft:

In addition to cooking, Fultz said he also likes to spend his spare time at the movies. He used to dabble in other sports, such as BMX biking, but he rolled those activities back as basketball became a bigger part of his life.

"I used to ride bikes," Fultz said. "I was a big BMX guy, but I had to chill out now because of injuries and stuff like that. ... I was very active. I used to do other sports."

I wonder if he would be stupid enough to keep doing that stuff heading into his rookie year.
