The 2016 Warriors were obviously great, but they also should've lost to OKC and did lose to the Cavs. Held court the first 2 games in the finals (winning G2 by a ton) and then got the piss beat out of them in Game 3. Warriors win Game 4, but Draymond does Draymond things, accumulating an unnecessary amount of techs. Can't make any excuses for that, that's just who he is. Just like how Russ can make 3 incredible plays and follow it up with 5 idiotic ones.

2017 Cavs were a better team than they were in 2016, IMO. Offense was clicking at an even higher level. Warriors obviously still would've had a great shot to win the title with HB and without KD, but the addition of KD gave them no doubt.

Next year will be fun if KD leaves.

OKC wasn’t a better team though. They should have lost in the sense they fell behind in that series so the odds were against them, but GSW was always the better team. So I don’t buy “should’ve won”.

100% agree the 2017 Cavs were better than 2016 and actually were a very high level squad.

I was really looking forward to the Spurs-Warriors series in 2016 before the Thunder bullied and outran the Spurs.

If Wiggins had developed his handle, he would be a monster. But alas...
Those Hanlan drills didn't help him?

Golden State has been loud about the fact that they were terrified of OKC that year. Golden State was not always the better team in that series that's just revisionist history.

And @VARNELL HILL is right. Could easily make the case that Cleveland wins 2015 at full strength and then you have 2016. Golden State did need KD to guarantee that championship.

Jimmy lucky my guy Belly ain't on the team anymore :smh: :smh: would've been murdered that man for doing his ********

.

GS was the better team the whole season. I don't see how that is revisionist history. I also don't see how them coming back from 3-1 is any more of a fluke or "luck" then being down 3-1 in the first place. Obviously OKC was a good team and playing great at that time, but I'd still run it back with that Warriors squad 10/10 times.

What was a fluke or luck about the series based on watching the games? OKC was an extremely difficult matchup for them, as evidenced by all of the head-to-head matchups that entire season. I didn't call GSW coming back a fluke at all.

If anything the league is mimicking the rockets more so than the warriors

Last year the rockets were 10 percent higher (82%) than the second highest team taking the most paint and 3 point shots (Brooklyn 71%)

Houston was 18% higher than the average team taking these shots

This year there are 12 teams taking 70% or more of their shots in the paint or from 3

This could tie in to the rockets gap lessening with everyone else not named golden state of course also factoring in hardens injury

Also Carmelo before last night said that he’s tired of the scheme putting guys in bad positions

Happy to see Milsap bounce back from the laker game

He’s been playing good defense all season and not hurting them offensively since LA. That’s the bare minimum they need from him to take the next step

I don’t think it’s a fluke either, I just think some people talk that way. I was responding to the comment that OKC “should’ve won”.

nemanja bjelica would put jimmy in a head lock if he was still on the wolves. we know he doesn't work to well in close combat (ask nene)
