Wait am I wrong on what's going on with the Nets? In order to sign a max guy they have to let DLO go? Or is it two

Which is weird to me because they are clearly over-achieving and play hard. But you need multiple stars in this league to win. Who has all their cap tied up? Crabbe? Dinwiddie just got paid but I thought it was a reasonable deal.

The worst that can happen to Denver is that they lose home court in the second round. That backfire is worth potentially not playing Houston nor gsw until the conference finals

Utah if given the choice to play Portland or Houston in the first round should choose Portland. There’s nothing that could “backfire” for Utah since they can’t get home court

It’s the right play

If you were the Rockets, wouldn't you prefer to play the Warriors in round 2 vs the WCFs? They would be a round fresher.

They would, but so would the Warriors, probably off of a sweep.... And we gotta consider ownership in this, dude seems to be pretty focused on saving/making bread... So chances are GS is packing Hou up regardless, might as well try and get a few more playoffs games down before the eventual.

I've posted about this before but Denver can't beat the Rockets. I'm not mad at them for knowing themselves and doing the smart thing.
I'm usually a play the hands that are dealt type of guy but when you're 1-10 against a team the best home record in the West wont matter with such a lopsided recent history.

But if HOU beats OKC and goes 54-28 doesn't Denver need to win both? Asking because I am not sure about tiebreakers.

The backfire is if they end up losing to the team they thought was a better matchup
They're 6-2 and would've been 7-1 if they would've tried last night against Portland. IF they lose to a team they've gotten the better of that many times with a recovering CJ and no Nurkic then so be it.
