The way he switched off of KD and let Kevin Love & Rodney Hood guard him down the stretch...might’ve been the most cowardly **** I seen from him. No smoke. And Mark Jackson was calling it out. Left them boys out to dry for real.



They ran every action in the final 5 minutes with Bron in P&R. With Steph, Iggy or KD. They knew he wasn’t playing a lick of defense. And if you pay attention to the details (especially in games 2 & 3)...they were picking on LeBron James.

We need BBB in the worst way man. He was excellent on defense against almost every elite PG in the league this year. But yea Bron getting targeted kills us on defense.

Knew that would be your response specifically. Difference is...that **** worked in one series against Steph and GSW. And he didn’t duck when it came to if. He’s physically undersized so it makes sense to go after the smallest defender in a lineup of good, long defenders. They were still running team defense...and Steph was “bumping and recovering” outside of 2016. Something you wouldn’t get. It’s a team defense concept.

LeBron James on the other hand...was not playing team defense at all. In 2015, 2017 & 2018. Especially the last 2 years. Raw Box score numbers to prove he “did his part” were more important than fighting over screens...lock & trailing, rotating, than playing team Defense.

That’s the difference.

That is true but it’s easier to take on that challenge when your teammates make the game easier for you on both ends like they do for KD.

But Harden didn’t have any issues taking his lumps and i would say the Cavs roster was probably on par with the Rockets.

Bron also has more mileage on him than Harden so that’s not really a fair comparison. Plus CP3 was better than any Cav outside of LeBron in the playoffs last year. I wouldn’t say Harden had to do everything like LeBron did in the playoffs.

Pay Close attention to Bron in game 2 on defense when Steph hit 9 3’s.

Piss poor effort. Letting Iggy Livingston slip screen him. Hugged up on Iggy. Not getting back in transition. Not rotating. Just all around selfish defensive basketball.

i would give him a pass, but when he says **** like he feels great and in the best shape of his life, it's hard to let him slide
he may be good for a chase down block and try to "lock up" once in awhile but don't let all that fool ya. he has not brought that effort and energy consistently for a handful of yrs

You'll have these media guys with a straight face say he's still one if the best 2 way players in the game when he hasn't consistently played even average defense since leaving Miami. Part of it is nobody holds him accountable for his lack of effort on that end.
