Worst of all, there are Dodger fans at the stadium who paid serious money to watch this team choke.

Welp. Healthy Kemp and Hanley next year.
And hopefully David Price

I know I'm in the minority, but I think the Dodgers need to get rid of Kemp. He had 1 lucky season and has done nothing since.
Either him or Ethier have to go. Obviously Kemp has been injury prone and has the large contract. But, Ethier is older, so it'll be interesting to see how that plays out

Ethier has to go way before Kemp. He's older, much worse, can't hit lefties. Kemp's lack of power this season was very worrisome, but you have to give him another year.

Ellis ground ball, double play machine :{
I don't understand why he hasn't bunted when Crawford has been on base with no outs. Boggles my mind :{

Mattingly hitting Puig 6th - below Ellis, Hanley as a shell of himself and Ethier - is completely mind-boggling.

Get Guerrero to replace Ellis and improve the bench for next year.

We have 3 great starters not sure what happens with Nolasco,Bills, and Beckett.

Yes Kemp has the fat contract and is injury prone, but I hate to see him gone (farm-grown talent).

I appreciate the ownership group putting a good product out there this year, totally would've been different if the team was healthier.

Ironically.....I just got off work.

Gonna drink a 40 and pass out.

Great season, fellas. Its a experience.

See yall in the offseason thread.

go blue...till infinity.

Knowing that my Mariners were going to be awful again this season, I started to pull extra hard this season for the Dodgers.

Definitely enjoyed the ride since April, I actually think I posted more in this thread than the Mariners one.

I'll be sticking around moving forward, Go Blue!

Can someone get rid of this jcs guy, bout to use the block button for the second time.

Loss sucks, i don't feel like analyzing now and probably won't until Monday when I'm sitting at my desk.

Some of you are way too ******g emotional.

2009 was worse, IMO, future is bright.

Why I totally agree with JCS.
Like JCS said and I told my Bro, We lost the series game 1 in extra innings.
Also Ethier and Kemp are bums...get rid of both of them. Im almost certain with Shumacher in game 1 we would be in the world series...Ethier was 0-99 in this series and dropped that pivitol ball. Kemp is a bum too.

Dudes haven't been in this thread all year but now come in talking about getting rid of Ethier and Kemp :lol ok

Pulled a vindeezy and drank myself to sleep after that ******** strike zone in the 3rd :lol

fun season. It'll be interesting to see what they so with kemp and ethier

Kershaw got offered $300 mil earlier this year :eek :eek
Most of you will probably disagree, but there is nothing good about paying somebody $300 mil, I don't care who it is

Agreed MrJ, agreed

I can't begin to imagine committing that much to Anybody

2008 and 9 hurt more than this, I believe this series was lost the first go-around in StL :{ :{

It's a tough call but if in this day and age that's what the going rate for an ace pitcher and one of the best in the game is going for, its a move they should strongly consider since they can afford it.

A guy like Robinson Cano who honesty really won't make a team he signs with that much better isn't worth it for sure. Is Kershaw worth it? a pitcher like him who's only going to get better if healthy is the closest thing worth a contract of that magnitude imo

Cedric, just cuz they can afford to pay him 500 million doesn't mean they should.
Is he young? Yes.
Is he in his prime? Yes.

But what happens when next year if injures himself and turns into glass kemp. You still have $270 mil committed for a guy who you don't know what you're going to get out of. Johan Santana? Oliver Perez? Carlos Zambrano? Barry Zito? Darren Dreifort? Jason Schmidt?

And none of those guys got ANYWHERE near $300 mil. Yes every contract is risky, but committing THAT much is just foolish to me

its hard to talk about baseball player's salaries since there is no cap, but if signing kershaw to $300million doesn't affect the way they sign other players or spend on personnel (scouts/coaches/etc.) then its hard to argue against it.

i do agree, though. no player is worth that much money.
