Both of us took L's this week though =(Kershaw!!!
True. Would you go after Carter then or someone else?Wong only steals 15-20 bases a year not like you'll lose Dee Gordon.
Had to take your 0, man. Nobody survives the season undefeated.Thought I had a chance today until I read that @ChampCruThik

Carlos Gomez is the easy answer for me. Too much upside and value as a FA. He's definitely been disappointing in Houston and the power numbers have essentially disappeared since being traded from Milwaukee. The allure is Gomez was a top-50 fantasy asset on most boards leading into the season. We've seen the worse, the best has more potential than the other names you listed. Carter is safe power but his BA will continue to be lowly. Tomas is showing a lot more in his second season in the States. Wong's slow start has shocked me. He's only owned in 53% of Yahoo leagues currently. Burns makes sense if you're dire about preserving SB. He might steal 30+ bags in Oakland this year.Kolten Wong has been disappointing so far and I'm thinking of dropping either him or Matt Duffy.
Some of the best free agents available:
Carlos Gomez
Joe Panik
Yasmany Tomas
Josh Reddick
Billy Burns
Joe Mauer
Chris Carter
I could use some more power in my lineup so I'm tempted to add a player like Carter, but I'm worried about the drop in steals and pulling the plug too quickly on Wong or getting rid of the all-around Duffy.

.Well my choice was made a little easier; someone just added Carter. Only reason I hadn't pulled the trigger yet is because Gomez is still on waivers and can't be added till tomorrow. You think he's worth using a waiver on? I'm waiting to see if he plays tonight, he's trying to test his rib injury and avoid the DL. If I add him I won't take a hit in steals, which is good.Carlos Gomez is the easy answer for me. Too much upside and value as a FA. Gomez is my first choice hands down. Burns second if you purely want steals. Carter third if you need cheap power.
Gomez has been buns since being dealt over to HOU![]()
Do you think his statistical drop in Houston will be a lasting trend?Gomez has been pure trash so far this year and he will continue to remain on my bench until he starts doing something![]()

Thankfully my league requires at least one bench batter so I'm fine with rostering one instead of using the roster slot on another pitcher.

.I would do both trades if you can. It's going to take Pomeranz, Porcello, and Pence to land Price. He's a top-25 fantasy commodity and Boston's unquestioned workhorse. There's questions about Price in the playoffs but fantasy is the regular season and he's a beast, even in the AL East.Trade 1:
One of my league mates has all three of Clayton Kershaw, Jake Arrieta, and David Price, and absolutely no bats. I'm thinking about trying to pry away one of those guys from him by offering Rick Porcello or Drew Pomeranz and Hunter Pence. He's expressed interest in Pence, and Porcello/Pomeranz are pitching really well so I'm hoping they'll be easy sells.
I figure David Price would be the optimal sell high/buy low guy out of the trio. I'm thinking he probably won't budge on Kersh or Arrieta with my offer. If it takes any of my other pitchers to make a deal happen, would you go for it?
Trade 2:
Another one of my league mates is in the opposite situation. He has bats and is willing to move the underperforming Edwin Encarnacion, but needs pitchers. He's already made it known to me that he has the hots for Hunter Pence and Jeurys Familia (and Yu Darvish, but I'm not open to moving him). He's expressed interest in Pomeranz as well. I tried to package Pence/Pomeranz to him last week but he couldn't pull the trigger. His pitching was dreadful again this week though so maybe he'll have a change of heart.
Similar sell high/buy low situation here. I'd love to package a Mike Moustakas/Familia/and either Porcello or Pomeranz for Encarnacion. Is this giving up too much?
I would wait for Gomez to clear waivers and save your priority.Well my choice was made a little easier; someone just added Carter. 24 Ks in 15 innings of work. 5 holds and a save. Nasty.^ Surprised Jeanmar Gomez was still available. I'm hoping the Phillies trade him mid-season and insert Hector Neris into the closer role.
.No dice on Trumbo or Tomas :\. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger anyway.
I can see why he wouldn't want to part ways.Ended up getting Gomez without using a waiver which was good.I would wait for Gomez to clear waivers and save your priority.
