The Los Angeles city attorney's office has filed five misdemeanor counts against USC Trojans wide receiver Joseph Lewis related to two separate domestic violence incidents, according to a spokesman.

Lewis, who is expected to be arraigned Tuesday, faces one count of domestic battery with an injury for an alleged incident that took place Feb. 5, and another two counts of the same charge for another alleged incident Feb. 11. He also has been charged with false imprisonment and domestic battery without an injury, according to Frank Mateljan of the city attorney's office.

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office declined to file felony charges against Lewis following his arrest on Feb. 12, and police have not provided further details about the circumstances that led to it.

LONG read but I guess it’s football talk:

From Nevada:
"Spoke to the Fourth Wiseman who chimed in with this report...

- Not much of a surprise but this appears to be Dwayne Haskins' team barring an injury or a total meltdown in the next six weeks of practice. As you know, could see Martell in special packages either at slot or even in short yardage to run some zone read. Haskins is going to be really really good if the Buckeyes can keep him upright--special player and special kid.

- The Tennessee boys Master Teague and Max Wray have been among the most impressive newcomers during the winter. Urban Meyer often talks about young guys coming in and handling their business like grown men, that is how Teague and Wray have operated so far. Teague is probably the strongest freshman on the team pound-for-pound. Wray has just impressed people with his work ethic and maturity. Might not be playing time available for either this fall but both have made good early impressions on the coaches.

- Jaylen Harris is one of the second year guys who has really transformed his body. No longer spending his winters on the basketball floor, Harris looks like a different guy physically from where he was a year ago. Tough receiver rotation to crack but definitely a guy to watch this spring to see if he can make a push.

- Nick Petit-Frere isn't here yet but he has quietly been penciled in on the two-deep at offensive tackle. It is one of those situations where the coaches would almost be disappointed if he didn't validate that during fall camp, they are going to give him every opportunity to play this year, they are that high on him. Most freshmen are put in the "hope they are ready to help if needed" category. It is expected with Petit-Frere, so just unusually large expectations for a recruit at this position.

And probably the most interesting convo I had......

- Urban Meyer has never campaigned as hard for guys to return to school and to keep his assistant coaches as he did this off-season and there is a reason for that. There is a quiet confidence over there right now that the only other team that Meyer has put on the field at Ohio State that is as complete as the one he is about to put on the field is that 2015 team that returned mostly in tact from the national championship.

The difference between those two teams is that egos, draft aspirations, and lack of structure within the offensive coaching staff kept it from reaching its full potential. None of those issues are plaguing this current group. Those kids chose to return to school when they had the opportunity to leave, where as many of the 2015 guys were only on the team because the NCAA rules dictated that they had to be. The offensive coaching staff is in as strong of a place as it has ever been and keeping Ryan Day was absolutely huge.

This whole thing just snowballed. First guys like Dre'Mont Jones, K.J. Hill, Mikey Weber, and Parris Campbell decided to stay. Then Meyer got the administration to break the bank to keep Schiano and Day around.

So in short, there is a quiet confidence around the program right now that this team is as good as any Meyer has had from a talent, depth, and experience perspective and without the non-football issues that the 2015 team brought to the table.

Even the quarterback position which is the one spot where there is some concern because of the lack of real game experience on the roster, isn't causing too much stress. There is confidence that all three returners could hold their own if called upon."

Boss moved to C.

Faalele is going to play G at Minn. Might not have the feet to play OT but he might have some leverage issues on the inside in the run game.
