At the beginning of two-a-days that summer, the football team held a dance competition among all newcomers to the roster in the team meeting room. Mayfield, who once taught his middle school football team to do the Superman dance for Soulja Boy’s 2007 hit “Crank That (Soulja Boy),” stole the show.

“I don’t think most people know that Baker can really dance,” said Eric Ward, a senior wide receiver on the 2013 team. “He dances like he’s a brother from another mother.

“He was doin’ The Jerk, The Dougie. That instantly got him respect. He knew all the culture dances.”

“He was doing the Stanky Leg, he was gettin’ it,” says Reginald Davis III, a redshirt freshman receiver on that team. “… Gettin’ it.”

More Bob Davie accusations:

· An ex-football player said he saw Davie scream at, get in the face of, physically grab and assault people, both players and coaches.

· That ex-player says during a game UNM was losing, Davie told another player who was hurt and in a leg boot, “What the f**k is so funny?” and got in the player’s face. The ex-player said the injured player tried to turn his head away from Davie, but Davie grabbed him by the collar and pushed him until he fell to the ground. The injured player pulled Davie with him and they wrestled on the ground for a bit. The injured player ended up on top of Davie and left the game area entirely.

· The same ex-player reported that players would call the football program “Auschwitz” because of how bad Davie made it, and they would call him “Massa Davie, ” referring to the slave term for a master.

· Players also allege that during an argument with a former football player, Davie said to the player, "I'm your [n-word]."

· A retired employee of the Athletic Department said she heard stories that Davie may have lunged at a football player and may have grabbed a player’s head when he was being treated for a concussion.

· A staff member in the football program says he saw an altercation between Davie and an African American player. Dave told a player to be quiet during a game, and after the third or fourth time, Davie went over and grabbed the player by his pads and jersey, and shoved him up against the wall. The player pushed Davie off him, and Davie fell and broke his thumb. The player yelled, “I’m going to call my dad. I’m going to the papers and everyone is going to know what you did.”

Then there's the sexual assault case tampering:

According to KOAT Action News 7, witnesses say Davie held a team meeting and instructed players to “get some dirt on this w*ore” after a UNM student accused a UNM football player of rape in February 2017. The player first denied any involvement with the student to police, but later admitted he has sexual contact with the victim after he was shown text messages confirming there was a relationship.

In the final case report from UNM’s Office of Equal Opportunity, Davie is accused of using racial slurs toward blacks player on various occasions. There's also a pattern of physical abuse.

He needs to not be allowed to coach.

--USC FOOTBALL COACHES CLINIC SET FOR MARCH 30-31

LOS ANGELES--The USC Football Coaching Clinic, featuring USC head coach Clay Helton of the defending Pac-12 champion Trojans along with his entire Trojan coaching staff and guest speakers, will be held March 30-31 in the John McKay Center on the USC campus.

The comprehensive two-day clinic will feature presentations by Helton and his staff, as well as offensive and defensive staff roundtable discussions covering philosophy and scheme and in-depth position meetings led by each position coach. USC strength and conditioning coach Ivan Lewis also will conduct a presentation on player development and the off-season/in-season training program.

The outstanding lineup of guest speakers includes Stanford head coach David Shaw, Fresno State head coach Jeff Tedford, BYU head coach Kalani Sitake and Nevada head coach Jay Norvell.

The clinic also includes attendance at USC’s spring football practice on March 31 on Howard Jones Field, allowing attendees to see the presentations come to life.

The clinic is open to coaches of all levels, as well as fans who want to learn more about the USC football staff and its coaching philosophy.

Cost of the two-day clinic is $90 ($70 for a single day). The clinic offers a staff discount of $20 off per person for groups of five or more who pre-register together for both days.
