He and Gary are Bama homers

As a recent Bama alum, I always find it hilarious that people say Verne and Gary are Bama-biased. I can assure you that anyone who actually lives in Alabama (minus Auburn fans)/Alabama students and alums HATE Verne and Gary.

I have had numerous conversations with fellow Bama fans/alums who have all said they wince when they hear that CBS is covering the game and most consider muting the actual game at some point due to the duo's constant incoherence and rambling.

Nearly every game this year that they've commentated, I've heard Verne and Gary say that whoever Bama is playing "probably has the best defense in the country," and, with the exception of LSU, Bama has proceeded to put up 30+ points against those same teams.

That being said, tonight's game was exactly what I expected from LSU; a game won or lost by defensive consistency.

The Pac-12 is a dumpster fire. How on God's green earth did WSU win a game 69-7? They haven't done that in 20 years (over anyone, even non-conference), and Ryan Leaf was the QB back then.

I'm surprised by WSU mopping the floor with AZ today. Basically the same AZ team that the fuskies needed overtime to beat. Go Cougs!

@DeadsetAce

Outside Gimmick Backer

Right now?  He's basically a 4-2-5 WS like a Sam Carter or Robenson Therezie.

In the NFL he's a SS/NB/Dime LB.  He's going to be a commodity come draft day because of his athleticism and his potential to be an answer to NFL TE's in coverage.

I wonder sometimes if they ran more over against 21, 22, and 12 personnel if he'd have more success against the run because he'd be off the ball, allowing him to use his speed to evade blockers.

There's talk heating up in Oregon that Phil Knight is ready to throw insane $10M+ a year money at a football coach. He's 78, wants a title.

This might have been why Thamel seemed convinced that there was going to be a HC vacancy there.

If Chip says no, would it be worth it from UT's POV to get into a bidding war with Oregon over Herman?  UT has other options probably, Oregon might not.

If I was Chip and UO was willing to make me the highest paid HC in CFB, and allow me the funds to hire one of the best staffs in the country including "analysts" like Bama and Michigan have, I'd think I come back.

After he won a NC he could go back to the NFL with more leverage, and to a team with much better ownership than SF.

Michigan vs Iowa next week. That game will be interesting because @ Kinnick stadium it is one of the toughest place to play in. But I expected Michigan to win that game.

Damn, herbstreet just ripped the SEC East... Put this on your calendar people, that was the first time in any recent memory which I've ever heard a negative comment towards the SEC on ESPN.

What did he say?

once Chip comes back, there's no turning back.

I don't think its Herman though. He can get bigger jobs than that one.

Cant wait to see who they hire though. Aint no way Helfrich is surviving this.

What did he say?

Basically said that they should just forfeit the sec championship game because there isn't a worthy team. Then he said how all the teams in the east are awful.

latest batch of Oregon PE's

Looks like Phil put a hold on them getting the dope **** until they start winning again
