I see no way the Thunder go up 2-0 tonight.

And I'm basing that mostly on Durant than anyone else out there. The basketball fan in me WISHES he would look at tonight like "Man if give these dudes that WORK tonight, we're up 2-0 coming back home! LET'S GOOOO!!!", but the realist in me realizes he's like, "Yaaaay. Up 1-0, so worst case scenario, we go back home tied 1-1. Boy, we sure shocked the world Monday night. High five, team. :) Y'all the real MVP."

Dubs by... 13. They were up 12 almost every time I looked the other night, so I think they maintain that tonight and actually keep it that way all the way through, no 19-point 3rd-quarter outbursts from Beastbrook.
LOL your funny man

you used the word entirely wrong since were being literal now. They are different, but if he beat the West 2 x then how is playing in the east a knock on his career?

Because of his finals record in totality and the relative competitiveness of the rest of the conference. It's akin to what Magic went thru in the 80s but he also won 5 of his 9 appearances and he also beat some all time great teams in that run. It's a knock in the same way Wilt gets knocked for losing to Russell even though he has 2 chips or Jerry West for his 7 Finals losses.
Those knocks aren't because of what conference they played in tho, the same way Bron will be knocked for 4 finals losses, not because he played in the eastern conference.

Whatever man it's part of his narrative. The only beating 5-50 win teams in the playoffs in a 11 year playoff career from the conference. Guess it'll be 6 with the Raptors now combined with the overall futility of the conference is a knock.

gotta disagree with your point on the thunder/kd being complacent. KD and Russ have been waiting 4 years to get back to the finals, i don't think they are taking any games for granted.

couple quotes from today:

Diamond Leung ‏@diamond83
Russell Westbrook: "We didn't win nothing...You can't relax, man. Happy teams get beat."

Durant: We feel Game 2 is a must-win for us (per espn)

warriors may win this game, but nothing suggests the thunder would be happy to split in oakland.

I agree with OKC's sense of urgency, they know first hand can't take these opportunities for granted. Plus with KD's looming free agency you never know. Their time is now and they've been playing like it.

I can't stop laughing at that "Big ____ Daddy Durant post!

Got me on the floor over here man just thinking about it.

That dude calling Durant Big **** Daddy again followed by the guy posting the "No Papi" dude from Cops has me dying at work. My goodness, man.

GSW loss coming later tonight...thread is going to fall into utter chaos. Just wanted to get it out now

Dubs hasn't lost back to back all yr doubt they do it now. If they do, I'll rep every post of yours for a week.

They also haven't faced any competition

3-0 vs OKC
2-0 vs Cleveland
2-1 vs Spurs

all scrubs.

So for the entire 73 games they won, every team they played were scrubs right?

Just throwing it out there...the Thunder should've won at least 2 of the games vs the GS this yr if they had any idea of how to play 4th quarter basketball.

So we want to disregard the regular season and say "this is the playoffs, 73 in the regular season means nothing" but then some of us use the regular season to dispute the legitimacy of the warriors. Yall are about as firm on your positions as my girlfriend is when she's on her period.
