im torn with this ref shenanigans.  i agree it serves no purpose to announce a mistake after the fact but on the other hand some of these no calls r just inexcusable and need to be called out.  and its becoming too common these refs are getting worse not better

we need instant replay in basketball simple as that. im tired of blown calls and then just admitting it the next day , which does nothing. its a huge problem that needs to be fixed. this is bs.

All goal tending calls should be reviewed since they add or reduce points. Sometimes it is sometimes isnt.

na that ruins the flow of the game and is annoying to watch imo.  refs just need to get back to basics and stop worrying about superstars all the damn time.  nba is the only basketball league where that westbrook travel doesnt get called.  instant replay just makes them worse since they know they can be wrong

say a big is working in the post and proceeds to travel but still make the basket.

refs stop the game to review if the player traveled and if so they take the 2 points off the board?

not everything should be reviewable, human error is really part of the game.

i dont care. they need to get it right. bad calls ruin the game more then a little time spent getting the right call and it should be like football. only within 2 minutes of the half being over. .

Don't see the big deal with the missed travel. We all know the NBA doesn't call travels its to the point where when one is called we are all surprised. The last thing we need is the refs changing the way they officiated the entire game for the last minute when the game is on the line.

The only reason they ruin the flow of the game is because they're worried about the referees feelings. They're should be an independent referee crew that's working the video replays. They make the call and relay it to the referees. It's ridiculous that some of these obvious calls require the refs to stop the entire game, huddle up, watch multiple replays, etc. Clear path, flagrant fouls, 2pters vs. 3pters, who touched it last, etc. They need a shot clock on these.

yeah i can see  why i a lebron fan wouldnt care about missed travels.... i do though. why even have rules if they are only enforced half the time. thats dumb. we need the refs to be better and call the game right all the time.  human error is a cop out . games can be fixed and the excuse is human error. football got instant replay and it changed for the better.

If they called every travel game would never progress. Late in games refs swallow their whistle and we all know that. So once again why are we acting like this is something new Chris Webber's travel in the Championship game for instance.

if they cleaned it up and enforced it players would adjust and limit it. its nothing new but its cheap to say ohh well. why even have the rule then.

Players will adjust to how the game is called, even during the game...which is why you have outbursts when it isn't called evenly. NBA refs have been bad to the point of being fans instead of just making the right calls.

The NBA announces in the two-minute report the refs missed Westbrook's traveling... as well as a travel by Curry with 7.8 seconds left.

no outrage over steph's travel?

He was calling timeout anyways as was BD and you could have called a foul on Klay for bumping him prior too. Much ado about nothing

that was a weak as bump. that was no foul. either way i aint complaining about this one call. im complaining about all the missed calls throughout the playoffs.

might as well stop watching the nba at this point.

why .

i love the nba. we just need instant replay. im talking about all the missed calls to end games where the nba the next day acknowledges that " we made a mistake" why even acknowledge it ? whats the purpose  behind that. all it does is piss people off.

it needs to and i look forward to the day its fixed.

It's pretty obvious WHY Silver does the report...Tim Donaghy. He's been all about transparency from the start. I will however admit, that it doesn't really benefit anything right now, but it does put these officials on blast so that may help to actually have them do their job better.

its just impossible to get all the calls right. whats warrants a replay throughout the course of a game, a coaches request? if its another ref, what if he makes a mistake or doesn't replay a subjectively questionable call?

the last 2 minutes already get bogged down when there are multiple reviews. replay central in NJ has not sped up the review process at all.
