Lol, no.

He would've been an unrestricted free agent this summer and could've signed wherever his heart desired.

Like I said before, if there is someone that doesn't understand the rookie extension, it is probably you.

http://www.basketballinsiders.com/nba-rookie-extensions-sign-now-or-sign-later/

Any 1st round pick who doesn't sign an extension becomes a restricted FA the season after their rookie scale deal is up.

He was going to be in NO either way.

If you really think it makes any sense to accept a QO than you even more dense than I thought.

We've discussed this multiple times in the thread about how teams control the first 7/8 years of any lottery pick basically, maybe you were somewhere with your head in the dirt.

I don't really care for the T-Wolves and even I'm disappointed they've had such a ****** season. expected so much more

Pat Beverley, tho :eek

Watching the highlights....Westbrook was 2-12 when he was guarded by him. Dude was up in his grill all night. Man. That was impressive defense.

This is what bothers me about Westbrook: just be physical with him. The refs know how he plays. So just go at him. Don't give him drives to the hoop.

Not that simple man :lol love when people say stuff like this.

Bev is an elite defender that gets into Russ head every time they matchup. He's an exception honestly.

Same here. I didn't want them to be like Philly or the Kings where they have key pieces for good/contending teams, but as a collective they stink. Yet, it looks like that's exactly the case. Watching their games I 100% see why they only have 6 wins.

Maybe 2nd, they could potentially beat Memphis in a 1st round matchup depending on injury situation.

Maybe. Memphis defends the 3 at an elite rate % wise and I'm more confident in their defense stopping Houston's offense. Meanwhile, Houston is dead last at defending the 3, which Memphis is shooting a lot more of. I think we can beat them without a healthy Parsons. No answer for Marc either.

That's definitely a match-up I don't want to see for multiple reasons. Something always goes wrong when facing them.

That was a pretty impressive airball last night by Westbrook.

what you mean washed?

hes still plays big time defense and can knock down the open shot.

He hasn't been a good defender for a couple years now, that's just accepted as truth because he was before.

He is shooting better this year so I'll give him that but I'd rather focus on the future than a guy on the downside of his career arc.
i see what you saying but Rockets are in win-now mode...they aint tossing a young buck out there over a 31 year old vet.

i do agree dekker needs more mins. thier small ball lineup is fun to watch.
Rockets are in lose in the 1st rd mode.
Rockets are the Joe Johnson ATL Hawks.

big bank roll but they going nowhere fast.

Ariza although doesn't put up nice numbers he's steady plays hard and provides a lot of intangibles and Dekker I don't think is ready just yet but he's part of the lineage of great Houston forwards Matt Bullard Ryan Bowen Scott Padgett Chase Budinger and Chandler Parsons healthy Memphis team my *** there is a really good chance they won't be healthy anyway

The Rockets are the real-life version of the teams I've been putting together since Live 2004. Amazing team to watch. My Western conferenfe predictions looking really good. East, not so much.

Definition of containment.

Russ still got his in, but Beverly made him work ever second he was on the floor.

I mean, Bev picked him up full court from Tip. (and not some lag off full court, dude was up in his grill, and RUss still got his)

Russ is good man, but that Bev heart, beautiful man.
