Lol idk I'd be weary of any team than can shut down the paint and make Capela useless. I mean if he's not gonna rebound then he's gonna be borderline useless and that ain't good.

23% shooting from deep, 54% at the rim both of which are well below league average. Free throw attempts few & far in between, all of that equate having to take a lot of shots to get that inefficient 17ppg. The 4 assists are accompanied with 2.5 TOs.
Not impressive at all. On a good team, he's coming off the bench at this point.

Add to it that he don't get NO CALLS. His defense is ugh.The knicks are a bad overall team & a lot of that has to do with not putting their players in position to succeed & strive at what they do best. I'm not saying Rose is at no fault, because defensively he could be better & he does have a fair share of plays that would be easier if he handed the rock off.
However Rose right now would be best suited playing on a team that Runs a lot and allows him to get into the paint. He still can breakdown a defense & is hard to keep in front of you.
Unfortunately for him there aren't to many teams in playoff contention that are in need of a Score first PG. The spurs would be interesting if Pop didn't have so much loyalty to TP.
Rose just doesn't seem to Love the game enough to be Elite.
Strikes me as the guy who would rather be sleeping Til' Noon and running trains on scallywags with the HS homies.
And more power to him if so, just remember his comment about not wanting to be sore at future PT confer fed or soemthing
Rose doesn't get calls because he contorts his body to avoid contact
I just checked and Rose's ts% and efg% are as good as they've been in 5 years . His fg% is better than it was when he won mvp. I guess he's continuing to not be good tho because free throws. He just needs to get out of that toxic environment in sacramento and he'll be fine

I'm just waiting for the statisticians to catch up and put TS% and OMAF on the stat overlays during games. They schleep apparently.

QFT. In the modern NBA if you don't get to the line or shoot 3's it's hard to justify being a primary scoring option.
As with all stats they don't tell the whole story. Efg% hurts a player like Rose because he doesn't hit threes at a good clip, with that said he also doesn't take many at all. So a player who's connecting on a lot of threes but shooting horrible from everywhere else on the floor will look more efficient.
Nick young Efg% this season is at .567 to put that in perspective CP's career #'s are at .51............ hell JJ's Redick is at . 54. ya'll don't see how these numbers can be a bit problematic? unless your gonna argue that While watching an NBA game you would think that NY is more efficient ball player than CP & JJ.

I see a bunch of harden games where he shoots like 40% from the field or lower but because he's 8/8 from the line his ts% is up and that's considered efficient. It's all about whatever the formula skews towards
I fully expect the Lakers or Knicks to give Rose that Max or near max deal this offseason....100+M's for Pooh.
Thibs gonna finish the job he started with Rose's knees.

This year nick young shooting 40 percent on 7 3's a game. If doc would get with analytics and have jj shooting 9 or 10 3's a game they'd probably get to the WCF
Although Reddick is an Elite shooter where do you draw the line on passing up wide open midrange shots if your an elite shooter from there too? We've seen Dantoni work wonders in the regular season by having his team push the pace and hunt threes. However come playoff time, when things slow down & patterns are noticed i wonder how much not attempting midrange shots is gonna start to hurt. I would assume that as a defender it's much easier to guard a player knowing that the team really has no intention of pulling up for a midrange.
Now obviously for a guy like Harden it doesn't matter because he can get his from anywhere, but for the others around attacking them on defense is jusy gonna consist of closing out on the three line.
i highly doubt that. i'm sure wall cp3 and lowry would definitely be in that class too if anything but i could be wrong
Here's through the 29th of December. Not only does Russ account for more offensively, goods defensive value is damn near on part with Geek 8 Freak. at he does nothing better than Harden.

You want it to be one way but it's the other way...
idk what you were proving?
that chart doesn't mean russ is the only pg with good offense and defense lmao.
not only that but harden is on the chart too.
and you proved my point because cp3 lowry and wall are all right there.
what was your purpose in posting that [emoji]128514[/emoji]
Look at the 2nd chart. The offensive points added, Russ is ahead. The defensive points saved he's way ahead of Harden trailing only Draymond and Greek Freak. TPA he's WAAAAAY ahead of everyone, which was my initial point. He's having possibly the greatest all around season since MJ in 88 on both sides of the ball all while averaging a triple double, it's absurd.
[emoji]129300[/emoji] every other defensive stat I looked at doesn't have Russ that high and he's a horrible defender from the eye test so idk....
You'd be wrong his defensive box plus minus this season is 4.3 the highest of his career and just behind Rudy at 4.4, Draymond at 4.7. Harden by comparison is at 1.4. So it's not the only metric. Defensive win shares are similar as well with Russ at 2.0, Gobert at 2.9, Draymond at 2.4. They're pretty much all in the same range the only huge difference I've seen would be in the real box plus minus which does an evaluation per 100 possessions.

yes they are....
russ' def rtg is only about 2 points better
but I have no interest in debating with you after that dumbass chart you posted
So you hate advanced stats but pick and choose the ones to fit your agenda. I see you.
