OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

Adoree isn't the 3rd best CB in the Nation IMO. Still need to see a little more from him to put him over a guy like Cam Sutton/Jordan Lewis as strictly a CB.

I didn't think this PSU mess could get any worse than it already was, but lo and behold.....

Ranking top 100 players in college football for 2016 season

Ranking college football players is an inherently dangerous task. With the number of different manners a player can contribute—quantitative ways like sacks, yards and interceptions or qualitative ways like sound blocking and tight coverage—it’s difficult to gage who makes the most impact. On top of that, with players limited to four-year careers, there’s a significant amount of guesswork to assess how players will develop from one season to the next.

So, with those acknowledged limitations, SI.com’s college football staff presents its top 100 players for the 2016 season. These rankings are not just an assessment of what the players have done so far but how they’ll perform this fall. And rather than simply rank players by their expected production, we attempt to discern who is the most valuable. Essentially, if you were starting a team from scratch, whom would you want the most?

Linebackers made up the largest portion of any position group in our rankings, with 15 earning selection, trailed closely by 14 running backs. Wide receivers were next with 12 honorees, followed by quarterbacks with 11 and defensive ends and cornerbacks with 10 each.

Amongst teams, Alabama drew the most selections, a whopping nine players, followed by Clemson with seven, and Florida State, LSU and USC with five apiece.

Saban says if star LT Cam Robinson does what is asked internally by Bama he won't miss any playing time.

Mack Rhoades, Mizzou AD, leaving Missouri to go to....BAYLOR.

What does it say about the Mizzou Athletic Department when their AD leaves to go to school that is in this horrible situation?

Nothing?

Mizzou just went thru a student athlete lead rebellion that got the chancellor and pres removed.

Question for you guys......

Are there any of you who are huge college football fans, but dont identify as a fan of any particular school?  I think that is the reason I have such a hard time getting into college football.  I dont have a team I root for, so it makes me not really care much about it.

Just curious if anyone is in my situation, yet is still a huge fan of the sport.

Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer today said he is standing behind Buckeyes defensive coordinator Greg Schiano.

A day after Schiano denied a second-hand allegation featured in newly unsealed court documents that he witnessed former Penn State assistant Jerry Sandusky sexually abuse a boy, Meyer said, “There’s no issue as far as I am concerned.”

“I first heard about it several months ago and we had a long talk,” Meyer said after playing in the Marathon Classic Buckeye Broadband Pro-Am at Highland Meadows Golf Club. ”I've known greg for 20-some years. I have as much respect for Greg Schiano as I do any person — not just any coach, any person. We had the chat and he told me everything that happened. He stands by his statement and we stand by his statement.”

Yeah and Baylor just went through (is still going through, actually) a major sexual abuse issue that got their football coach and other staffers removed and Rhodes is voluntarily accepting a job there...

Not sure that shows "nothing" in regards to the current situation at Mizzou.

It's nothing just because there was major turnover at every level. It would have been more shocking had he stayed honestly.

Chancellor, prez, football coach, baseball coach all gone. I don't think it's an assessment about mizzou as much as it was time for him to move on.

There's a vid of Saban saying off the record they were disgruntled LSU fans.

Paul Finebaum: Alabama coach Nick Saban 'indicated' officers who arrested Tide players were LSU fans

Monroe Police public information officer Chris Bates laughed at the idea that the officers had football on their mind during the arrests of Robinson and Jones.

“I can tell you for a fact that the first officer on the scene is not an LSU fan,” Bates said Wednesday afternoon. “He hates LSU. He doesn’t like the color yellow or purple and gold. In fact, he’s a Florida fan. If you mention LSU around him, he throws up in his mouth. Most of our officers are LSU fans, but we have some who are Arkansas fans and Georgia fans and Alabama fans. And I’ll tell you this, the first officer did not even know those guys were players.”

Interdasting.

I'm here. I was surprised they had Adoree and not JuJu. Adoree has no personality.

Banner was the man with his serious senior year haircut.
