OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

serious question--you think he'll become an NFL starter one day?

edit: he's 6'6"??! :wow: I thought he was 6'1" tops.

what the hell does being an NFL QB have to do with anything? Ever heard of Tebow, possibly one of the greatest college players of all time? Vince Young? Dorsey at Miami.

Some of you dudes equate being great to whether you will be good in the NFL.

Just saw something about Bama's onside kick being illegal since the ball never touch the ground...
It doesn't have to touch the ground, just make it past the line. In fact, kicking it into the ground was actually is just a strategy to make the located of the ball unpredictable, not a rule.

Pretty sure dabo was complaining on the sideline saying he called timeout but the refs didn't grant it in the onside.

Kickers usually have it hit the ground so the other team can't call a fair catch

Not quite.

You kick it into the ground to prevent a fair catch.

According to Dabo they tried something similar last year and was told by the refs the other team had to have a chance to catch the ball. I've never heard of that rule on Kickoffs...punts...yes but not kickoff. Once that ball goes 10 yards it's anybody's pigskin

Relax. Dude just asked a question

He will have much more of a shot, due to Physical Tools and "pedigree" than a guy like McElroy ever had

Hell of a game last night. Very clearly the two best teams in the nation.

SC got called for a penalty when they tried that onside kick a couple years back when one of our guys laid out the other guy trying to catch it and then we recovered. Clemson situation was different since there wasn't a player close to having a chance to catch the ball and thus, was legal.

I haven't heard much, but where does Watson project in the pros? What round?

not a legit pro prospect. Gotta imagine 4th round?

  :smh: #DidDisDudeJusDidDis

Watching Watson makes me all the more mad that Mariota didn't win a championship :smh:

Mariota >>>>> Watson

You're better thank this Funk.

damn it.

Jake Coker has a title and Mariota doesn't?

:smh:

He has 2 rings

Clemson had so many opportunities

Face it Dabo, y'all.....CLEMSONED

Wasn't anywhere close to a Clemsoning

No, he's mobile, tough, athletic, okay arm he looks like he'll be a decent back up.

Besides missing Ridley on that out route he made all the plays that he needed to be made.

Coker has a cannon

Watson needs to ask/or make less qb runs next season. It can still be really effective part of his game. Some of the passes he was making last night

This, if a Bama player had blocked/hit a Clemson player before he had a chance to get the ball, it woulda been a penalty since the ball didn't hit the ground first. But since it was cleanly recovered by Bama with no incident, it's all good.

:smh: @ the Watson slander in here. Did y'all not see the touch he put on that ball that was dropped/interfered with in the back of the end zone? :x filthy pass.

Coker will get over drafted by someone due to his measurables and because he is a "winner".

This is true but :smh:

Any GM that takes him any higher than the 5th round deserves to be fired.

mean.gif @ the Watson slander in here. Did y'all not see the touch he put on that ball that was dropped/interfered with in the back of the end zone? sick.gif filthy pass.

Exactly...dude was throwing lasers last night. This is a sophmore disecting a Nick Saban/Kirby Smart defense that had ample time to prepare for him. The kid is the damn truth.
