OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

:lol People think that the school can fire Pinkel and cut scholarships without consequence to the program and its future.

I fully support the players. It seems, as far as sports teams goes, the Mizzou football team is always on the frontline of a lot of the conversations on social issues.

Michael Sam, Michael Brown, and now this.

I'm more than willing to bang Heather Dinich if she puts UF in her top 4 during a broadcast

ThaxbyChamblis ThaxbyChamblis apparently Johnny_Cakes Johnny_Cakes is right. Posters on multiple USC boards are saying big donors in the luxury seats were openly talking about lining up their finances to make Payton or Harbaugh offers they can't refuse. Not sure how I should feel about Payton as a prospect?

After watching this a few more times (the full play at 0.39 seconds), I really don't understand how the refs got this wrong. My man took 5 steps out of bounds…

 What a joke.

Literally makes no sense. Integrity of college sports has become as bad as the NBA in the early '00's.
maybe cause its NFL Sunday but how is this play not a bigger deal? and how is everyone letting the SEC off the hook for that Arkansas illegal play on 4th down that saved the game for them?

Is SC going to be able to outspend Ross?  Ross is probably going to offer him full control as well.  Payton's not going to SC.

There's a rumour going around that the Lion's are going to make a run at Jon Harbaugh, and offer him full control.  I doubt he takes the job though considering the uncertainty around the ownership situation.  I think he'll be working in TV next season.

Either one would be an insane hire, but seems like there are too many NFL openings. If we strike out with that tier, I hope they give Herman a long look.

One because its Nebraska. Robert Smith bashed miami saying they should forfit after the refs clearly got it wrong after review. He tweeted after this game. Gotta feel good for those Nebraska kids way to go big red. And is now back peddling on everything. Fiembaum and wilbon of course haven't said a word.

What was wrong with the Arkansas play ?

We're not a big enough media darling for people to care about us getting screwed over.  "After miracle win in Ann Arbor, Spartans fall short in similar fashion in Lincoln" sounds a lot better.

I see the salt is still flowing :rollin
If there wasn't any contact the call would have been wrong. B1G confirmed it
The only purpose of the replay was to confirm that there was contact

Almost every desperation multi lateral play at the end of a game has the ball hit the ground during it. There's a difference between a fumble which can't be advanced and an intentional lateral.

Only a clown would defend that call, especially using the phrase, the "BIG confirmed it". You do realize Delany is a jackass, right? Not too mention they didnt even comment on the on field call, just that the replay process had "proper mechanics". It shouldn't have been ruled a TD initially and you damn well know it. Your boy ran 7 yards of his route OB on his own accord. Again, I still think we win out and we're in, but you never know. It's reasonable that MSU alum and fans are still shaking our heads.

Move on. Your team played with fire and let a trash Nebraska team hang around. It should have never come down to one call.

You can not lateral the ball on 4th down and have it hit the turf. The ball has to be recovered by the fumbler.

The rules in place. It was not enforced.

The ncaa has a major problem on its hands with these 3rd rate officials

Ncaa has a huge problem with their officiating. Maybe instead of conference officials there should be one uniform organization. Something has to change. Its been like this for too long

What are the chances that Hue Jackson gets the SC job?

He's doing well in Cinci this season.  I haven't really seen his name come up for that job.

Probably not very high bc word is they want someone who already has a solid HC track record, don't want to take a risk on this hire after the last 2. That's what hurts Herman as well since he doesn't even have a full year. A lot of fans wouldn't like the idea bc of his stint here 15+ years ago but from what I understand his offense now is nothing like what we ran in the Hackett years.
