OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY BASEBALL THREAD

8 team league is way too shallow of a league. all teams are stacked, someone could sleep their way to a championship.

as long as owners are active, its still exciting.

nothing worse than a dead league

So now that we know what your whole team looks like, and that you are in an 8 team league, I have totally vhanged my stance on that trade. I cant imagine your pitching is better than maybe two other teams.

I trade Stanton for Fernandez without thinking twice. Your hitting is still stacked.

What to do with Jim Henderson? I also have KRod on my roster but the rate he's pitching, he won't be losing the closer's role anytime soon. Henderson is taking up a pitcher's spot and I want to grab another starter.

I'm out in LA so our league is full of Dodger fans. I know Hanley, Puig, Greinke, etc. went higher than average. Thats how I ended up with all those hitters. Yeah, I'm trying to trade Stanton, Braun or Gomez for a pitcher.

You cant do much better than Fernandez man. Id bang that trade which was proposed to you before he reconsiders.

I get Weaver and Jim Johnson in exchange for George Springer. Do it?

I'd say it depends on whether the league was a dynasty/keeper etc. Both weaver and Johnson are having ****** years. However we have yet to see springers potential

need to know how your team looks

ex. i have carlos gomez, heyward, kemp, hunter, moss and springer on my team. if i needed the pitching id look into dealing springer but i have strong pitching so i can afford to see how he develops

I'll end up dropping/keeping Straily based on his performance today.

The one weakness in my team is at catcher. I drafted Wilson Ramos and when he got hurt I scooped up Jason Castro. He definitely brings the power, but his batting average is really bringing my team down and that's a category I specialize in. He's sort of helped me maintain average numbers in HRs and RBIs though.

My pitching staff took a hit with Sale being placed on the DL and my numbers this week have been down anyways. Pitching categories are my strengths since I have a good rotation so I need to try and maintain the numbers my pitchers had been putting up.

The one area I have excess in is the OF. My outfielders are Mike Trout, Alex Rios, Coco Crisp, Shin-Soo Choo, and Shane Victorino. There's three OF slots as well as three UTIL slots, but the players who usually are in my UTIL slots are all quality. I'd prefer to try and lose one OFer, but probably not through dropping them since they are all good players.

I'm thinking of trying to trade one OF for a catcher or another pitcher, dropping an OF and adding a pitcher, or activating Ramos from the DL and dropping Castro, giving me the opportunity to add a pitcher. What do you guys think?

I was offered Prince Fielder and Martin Prado for Josh Donaldson and Alfonso Soriano. Should I take it?

Someone remind me to never draft Bryce Harper again.

This Harper injury is gonna kill me. Got Machado. What can we expect from him when he comes back?

Kept him over Freddie Freeman. Bryce was my NL MVP pick.

Lucky for me I was able to snag Freddie and Tulo along with him, so I'm not hurting that bad. Still sucks to have him out for so long though :{

Traded Bryce for Nelson Cruz and Allen Craig.  Having buyer's remorse right now.

Na but you got another person
I'm about to drop Harper in all Leagues. Should I?

I mean I'd rather keep players on my DL who are out for short term.

No way would I drop Harper. If he is back in July, you still have him for 3 months.

Somebody in my league was trading Burnett & Beltran for Harper and once Harper got hurt, dude begged everyone to veto the trade and they did. :{ B move.
