On that Nate Shierholtz hit and where DeRosa was out at home by 3-4 steps, what's your thoughts on Flannery waiving in DeRosa? I know you got the pitcher on deck and you don't want to depend on him to get a hit to drive in DeRosa, but that play wasn't even close. Like I said before, DeRosa was out by 3-4 steps. At least get the pitcher up that inning.

i can see the Giants losing this series if Sanchez does not win tomorrow. Although Wellemeyer pitched good against the Phillies he is going up against Santana. Lincecum's start is the only game that we should win.

Great article. As good as we have been playing, its a shame that our offense is going to hold this team back. To quote the great Damon Bruce, we have a pitching staff built to win the World Series, and an offense built to finish 4th in the West.

The team reminds me of the A's of the mid 2000's.

Wasn't really powerful offensively, had the big 3 starters and wouldn't advance in the playoffs.

THe A's had a competent enough offense to at least get them there. The jury is still out if that is the case with ours.

That early 2000s A's team would beat us right now. It'd be a great series but we wouldn't generate enough runs to take the series. I'd expect it to be 3-2 6 games in a row, Romo and Wilson would give up all three
