It was not nearly as big mainstream-wise as it is today. Before Lebron, Dwight, Wade and these likeable players. A lot of people disliked the NBA... all 1-on-1.. thugs.. Iverson being the face of the league. College basketball was a lot bigger too.
I'm not saying me I've always loved the nba but for the general public.
