 They won't.
It's not far fethced, they can steal 8th place. they're 6 game out, i believe
I just don't see all the teams ahead of them falling apart. They may be on a roll, but so are the Grizz and Phoenix. Portland is still hanging on and I don't see the Clippers passing the Rockets. I think their breakout season will be next year.
Mathematically, they are not out of it of course. But, realistically I don't see them making it. They are worst than us when it comes to closing games, a lot worst. They are even worst on the road and you have to be somewhat  "ok" on the road in order to be a playoff team. 29 home games and 18 road games so far this season. They have a long road ahead for the rest of the season with only 12 home games left and 23 road games.

You just want the Grizz in it rather then the Clippers.

Anyway, I made that statement with out knowing all those statistics about home games. It would almost be the story of the year if they made it behind knowing all this now. But it still isn't impossible. The Blazers been banged up all year. The Rockets just aren't going to be good enough. I think Phoenix will fall off. The Warriors are ehh. If Denver trades Melo they will probably drop off severely. And then Memphis.

After saying all that, like I said this would be the story of the year.

But still possible. Blake is more then just the best rookie and way more then the Dunk Contest headliner. Deandre Jordan continues his play and improvement. Baron is a vet and is still getting it done. Foye is a weapon that will be big off the bench when Eric Gordan comes back. Bledsoe is making great plays, probably B.Davis rubbing off on him. I think they got A LOT of talent and they looking like they on they way.

At worst they are close and build on it for next year.

Been watching the grizzlies with focus since 08-09 and imo this is the year they get an invite to the postseason party. Portland from my perspective, just doesn't have enough to hold on to that final playoff spot meanwhile the Grizzlies are rolling right now and playing very well. I do expect to see the clips make some type of run at it, and they will do far better than people expect on this make or break stretch on the road coming up, but they wont catch the grizzlies, or the blazers.

Of course I want them to make it

, but its plain and simple.

Being that they are a terrible road team, they won't magically become at least an average road team over night. Now, if they had more home games left it would probably be a different story. I see them coming very close to 40 games this season though.

Hell, we were like 26-23 around this time last season IN A PLAYOFF SPOT and people still didn't believe we would make it.

I know where you trying to go, but I'm going in another direction.
It's telling me the Clippers have no chance in hell.

You're about as cocky as the rest of them.

Just for the record, all along I've thought the Celtic's are the favorites this year.

Chip on their shoulder, improved their roster, and still playing great D.

They stay healthy, they're my favorites.
