IMO, i actually think thats what Denver is hoping for so that they can start from scratch, and have the cap space to absorb any bad contracts from lower market teams who want to trade away players for cap room, which is the only reason why Denver is interested in dealing with NJ. They can offer Favors and a few first round picks, allowing them to rebuild using him as the center piece.Originally Posted by YEEUPP
Any chance Denver Nuggets ?
- Trade Melo before deadline (Player Option)
- Nene don't pick up his option (Player Option)
- Don't resign Kenyon Martin (Expiring)
- J.R Smith signs with another team (Expiring)
All before next season ?

Nenê's really the only player listed I give a $^%& about. Smith has said he wants to stay, but wasn't offered an extension a few months ago before his deadline. Martin was pissed he wasn't offered an extension, and that money was spent on Harrington, but if we're rebuilding and he wants that dough, he can go. Carmelo... just get him out of town already.Originally Posted by YEEUPP
There’s No Place Like Denver for Nuggets center Nene
By Chris Dempsey
Oddly enough, Carmelo Anthony isn’t the only Nugget this season that has an opt-out clause in his contract for next season. There are two.
Nene is the other.
But unlike Anthony, Nene – a native of Brazil – has grown to love the city of Denver, state of Colorado and desperately desires to stay. He wants to extend his contract with the Nuggets and says those talks have begun to some degree. He does plan to not opt out of the final year of his deal, which will pay him $11.6 million next season.
It is the last of a six-year, $60 million contract he signed in 2006.
Nene was very clear on Sunday when he said “For me, I want to retire here.

Does anybody flop more than Chris Paul? He might be as good of an actor as a basketball player.
