One league source believes the roster changes in Orlando are being made to appease Dwight Howard, who hasn't been in a rush to sign a contract extension with the organization. Howard could opt out of his contract after next season and the Magic will do whatever it takes to keep their franchise player happy.

"I think they know they have to make a play since Dwight will be a free agent soon," said one source.

The only thing worth watching at the Air Canada Centre is that wavy Indian dude that always sits courtside.  Your team will never keep a marquee talent, will never be as good as the 00-01 squad, and will always be a pit stop franchise. 

Now I do agree with you about the overhyping of NYC talent and the some "Knicks fans" though.

And once again, I can't believe you're not white.

Orl is a team with an identity crisis! Do they wanna run and gun and score 100+ or do they want to slow down and get Dwight a touch every possession? They play 0 perimeter D and they needed to keep Barnes as the only guy on the team with some backbone.
im not so sure adding Gil to that team is the solution offensively either unless they somehow package 2/3 jameer,Vince,shard and get back some solid role players

If Orlando can pull that off than they're definitly the winner in that deal. I think Arenas can help that team, plus a fresh start for him Im sure will help a lot.

Funny thing is that it he had a career high in assists the FIRST time too!

I wonder how Lowry felt about his boy Rudy pushing Scola in the back.

I'm really not a fan of a Nelson/Arenas backcourt either. If I'm Orlando, I make that deal then try to move Nelson in another deal to get another defensive guard at the two. If you want Arenas to dominant the ball on the perimeter, have guys around him and Dwight that compliment him.

Sure, they can just start Pietrus at the two, but Nelson off the bench wouldn't seem right.
