OFFICIAL 2010-2011 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD : VOL. MOST. ANTICIPATED. PLAYOFFS. EVER?

They interviewed Odom after the game and they asked him if he knew that Vick was in the arena, and he said "Of course, not a lot of people can take away attention from a game, especially when Kobe is playing.."

Supposedly Washington offered Gil in some kind of deal that involved Wilson Chandler and a 1st but Knicks turned it down. This came from the guy who broke the news before anything that Cliff Lee was not signing with the Yanks.

Also some sources are saying the Gil deal is done and will be announced in full detail tomorrow.

This is who Orlando should be targeting. Chicago too.

Orlando gets GA, and should trade Gortat for Shane. Cut some salary, and get a defender in the process. Plus Shane gets to go to a contender.

And the Rockets get a big.

I'd rather trade Jeffries but i'm iffy on Gortat.

I'd rather them tear down and rebuild as a whole and just usher in a new era past the Yao era.

Stephen Jackson has been horrible the last 4 games. Can't believe he was leading the league in 3pt fg pct.

Gerald Wallace is going to shorten his career by an injury, i'd be cautious on his next contract. In all honesty the bobcats need to cut salary and find a way to give Tyrus Thomas more minutes.

If they decide to keep Jackson and Wallace then they'll have to part with either DJ or Diaw to find a legit starting Center because they desperately need one. I honestly can't stand Larry Brown's coaching style at times.

Orlando is gonna make out like robbers if they are able to dupe the Wiz into taking Shard's god awful contract/talent for Gil

The Orlando Magic may announce a trade of Rashard Lewis to the Washington Wizards for Gilbert Arenas as soon as Saturday, Alex Kennedy of HOOPSWORLD reports, culminating a wild Friday night as rumors about the Magic's interest in the veteran shooting guard kicked into the highest of gears; please see the first two posts on the subject here and here.

Further, Kennedy says Magic franchise center Dwight Howard is pushing the team to make a deal, and Orlando continues to shop a package of swingman Vince Carter and backup center Marcin Gortat elsewhere around the league. From Kennedy's report:
One league source believes the roster changes in Orlando are being made to appease Dwight Howard, who hasn't been in a rush to sign a contract extension with the organization. Howard could opt out of his contract after next season and the Magic will do whatever it takes to keep their franchise player happy.

"I think they know they have to make a play since Dwight will be a free agent soon," said one source.

Kennedy says Orlando has engaged teams including the Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, and Portland Trail Blazers to make a second deal, perhaps involving the aforementioned package of Carter and Gortat. Among the players discussed is Phoenix forward Hedo Turkoglu, who spent five seasons with Orlando, only to sign with the Toronto Raptors in the 2009 free-agency period. "Lon Babby, the president of basketball operations in Phoenix, allegedly didn't make the trip to Dallas recently so that he could continue working the phones," according to Kennedy.

Andrew Melnick of Howard the Dunk, citing a source, also says Howard is driving the Magic's desire to make a trade.

Edit: I wonder who Otis is targeting with their secondary moves... Carter+Gortat for??? JR Smith? CARMELO?!? Hedo

 Rudy? ROY?!?!?

The Magic need to somehow dump Jameer, the guy stinks... especially if they do acquire Gilbert. Orlando better make a huge splash. Or else I will forever hate trade rumors...  I should know better than to get excited about trade rumors in December
