My rant wasn't directed at you...it just annoys me that the European media has been unfairly questioning South Africa's security justbecause an attack happened in a completely different area of the continent. No one questioned Germany's security prior to the 2006 WC or Switzerland'ssecurity prior to the 2008 Euro Cup after England and Spain were attacked by terrorists a few years earlier.Originally Posted by SinnerP

Well, I've never been to South Africa, so I can't comment on their security. But I must admit, the media did play a part in my comment on the World Cup safety. That was basically the story that followed the Togo story...
EDIT ~ $#%*, they tied.

If Arsene Wegner wants some silverware, he needs to change his pedo ways, and sign some older experienced players.

Been nearly 2 weeks without a game missing 2 of their midfielders and their primary striker...I think we're doing pretty decent 3 pts back from the top without signing anyone yet.
I think that's the whole point. EVERY club suffers injuries throughout the course of the season but Arsenal lack the depth to make up forthese injuries. A key player goes down and Wenger just plugs in a teenager to fill in the spot. The club made 40 million pounds off of the sales of Kolo Toureand Adebayor but Wenger is hesitant to spend the money. He didn't want to spend 10 million on Chamakh and decided to head into the season with van Persieas his #1 striker and Bendtner as his #2. van Persie is extremely talented but he is one of the most injury prone players on the planet. He's going tosuffer more injuries in 2010, 2011 and 2012. What happened to him a few months ago was no surprise. And Bendtner? The guy is buns. Now they're stuck withEduardo as the #1 striker
Arsenal are run by a bunch of money hungry business men. Winning trophies is not as important as just simply remaining competitive and making some extra cashoff of annual Champions League appearances by the club. Spending extra money on established players is not worth the returns on investment so they'recontent with buying and developing really young players who are good enough to keep the team in the top 4. Things are about to change though with teams likeMan City willing to spend their way into the top of the table.
As for Almunia...he is literally one of the worst keepers I've ever seen in my life. He didn't fall off this year, he's always been trash. I'llnever forget this dude for allowing 2 of the softest goals EVER in the 06 UCL finals vs. Barcelona. One goal went right through his legs, the other one went inon the short side from a bad angle. Oh yeah, he let Ronaldo score a 40-yardfree kick on him in the 2nd leg of the UCL semis last season.

Then the top of Feb, you have Chelsea, and the week after, you have Liverpool...
You guys will drop points.

Wenger needs to sign a big-strong striker. Not only because Van Puzzy is injury prone, but this team hasn't really replaced Adebayor properly.
Let Arsene get his little child molester fix on and sign Mario Balotelli.
Also, If Balotelli makes a move anywhere, it would probably be Madrid or Barca. I honestly can't see him leaving Italy, though.
Like I said, you gooner lads might pick up Luis Saha, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, or HULK...
You guys are linked with them.
