two 3&D guys in Court / Lance so Melo doesnt have to guard the best player & save energy to hit the game winner on the other end
it was amazing seeing folks on twitter who consistently slander Melo, praise him for todays game.
people could never except that Melo is elite.
+ no one talking about how he had to save a roster that consisted of NBA Champs, MVPs, Scoring Champs & All Stars. no one talking about how their shooting %. but when Melo goes 2-12, thats the headline SMH

i feel like Melo needs to be surrounded with all star players to flourish . Every Olympic he balls out, when we had a great team in place he won the scoring title.

Lately, when people have been saying this, they are using it as a way to slight/discredit him though. As though he's somehow not good enough to be a playoff team without another star. Well wake me up when KD even goes to the playoffs without Russ lol. Or Steph without Klay and Draymond. Or LeBron winning without Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, etc. Or CP3 without DJ and Blake. I mean it's really ridiculous. Obviously in team USA he's playing without other capable players...which makes him exceptional. Common sense tells me that if you apply the same to the NBA, he is capable of the same. Put talent around him and watch him flourish.

Melo is not a phony and funny style type dude. Unfortunately majority of cats aren't like that so they hate and can't get behind it. Add that he plays in NYC then u have a recipe for disaster. When son was in Denver he was top 5 and didn't get nearly as much slander as he gets today then he became a Knick and all hell broke loose
