NT's LEGAL Gun Thread UPDATE...First Youtube Firearm Review Page 61

My next and last three purchases and I'm done with buying weapons or weapon related items. I will spend more money on training at the various operator clinics and courses around the nation.

1. Noveske 7.5" SBR Upper $1200 Plus ATF Tax Stamp. Gonna use my Mark 12 Lower since it has all the match grade components.

2. Silencerco Osprey FDE Suppressor $699 Plus ATF Tax Stamp

Picked up some night sights for my compact the other day. I thought fiber optic front sight on my full size was superb....I think these will make me switch both guns to Trijicons. I will get them put on sometime this week.

Where can I pick up something lil this up? Do you have to have a special license?

$500 will get you on of these with naked rails...if you add a stock you better have a ATF Tax stamp because it automatically changes it to a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR).

Chrome Draco AK Pistol.

Another Draco

. Lot has been going on in here and that's awesome. Nice pic up guys...especially Cotite, the only other person I "know" that has a FN .45 Tac. How much did you pay for the Trijicon? I am looking at that and the Burris FastFire 2 which is only $170 lowest price. Heard a lot of good things about it. After that all I will need is a suppressor and my OHWS will be complete. Solid Snake 2011.

Also Cotite, did you know that for Fairfax and Prince William County we don't need to do a trust? Just go down to the Sheriffs office and obtain a LEO sign off. It takes 4 weeks. That's the best way to do it anyway since a Trust can be challenged by the ATF.

Good to see you back Elder. The trijicon was $150, I can send you the link if you want. I was looking @ the FastFire, but from what Ive read online, you have to remove it to lock the sighting in, and even when you do, it might shift. Honestly, I don't even see myself using it that much in the near future. I need to work on shooting more consistently with iron sights before I get too reliant on technology.

When I bought my Tac, i asked the dealer about getting how difficult it is to get a LE sign off. He said it wasn't hard, and they usually run a background check. I can certainly live with that. But i did read about a website that sells suppressors that will create a trust for free. I still might do go the trust route, just for the privacy factor and not having to explain why I "need" a supressor. But then again, better safe than sorry. I figure I'll worry about that when I actually get the funding for a can.

Not really a fan of AKs but the one with the CTR stock is pure SEX

Ford vs Chevy, Duke vs UNC, Alabama vs Auburn, Mikhail Kalashnikov vs Eugene Stoner. I can totally understood your aversion to AK's ARGuy, especially with your affinity for the M-16 and derivatives. But let the record show, there is probably not a more reliable, battle capable, hard hitting rifle than the AK-47. You can treat it like crap and it will still work for you. Now I love the M-16 and variants and it is much more accurate, but if I gotta take one rifle to survive and in desolate conditions I'll take a cheapo AK. Which is ironic/hypocritical because I don't own one

Please do, it's a underrepresented weapon on here and it deserves some shine.

From what I understand you don't have to give a compelling reason for a signoff, just have a clean record and it will be granted. Most people do trusts since they have no other choice, and I was going that route till I found out we could go down to the Sheriff's office. Not saying that Trusts aren't legit, just that recently the BATFE has been scrutinizing Trusts since there has been a big boom in people getting them. Once we both find time we need to link up Cotite, and hit the range.

I'm in love with the mini AK

I think we need a gun team on NT

Same here Smoke, I could save a lot of money by SBR'ing a Draco by adding a folding stock and vertical foregrip than buying an AR style SBR. Might be the best route actually, we'll see.
I'm down for a NT gun team if the others are interested. We seem to all be a responsible and law abiding group of gun owners...would be cool actually.

my draco set up...Midwest Industries hand guard in desert tan, hogue rubber grip in desert tan, i also got a slotted muzzle break but i dont know how to put it on, and tapco rail covers?...

The only beef I really have with the AK is the ergonomics and the sights, but let me get that Draco with CTR stock and mount a Micro Aimpoint on it and chamber it in 5.45x39 and I'd be good to go. Two different rifles designed for two different doctrines. And ROYALTY D, your Draco is

elderwatson yea i been thinking for a lonnnng time about getting one. i seen some go for low as 350, and yes i received your email just gotta do a few updates to my resume.

I contemplated a Draco a while ago. They are absolutely useless, damn near hard to hit anything accurately but they so are God damn cool! Shooting the 7.62x39 from this little(not so little) AK pistol. Haha then I came to my senses...

I also picked up the M&P 9 over the weekend, full size. NIB $470 out the door, dealer made us a deal so the cousin and I walked out with two new pistols.  My first 'modern' polymer pistol. Ordered a 1,000rds of S&B FMJ rounds for target shooting.

Also made a couple of homemade pvc pistol target stands to compliment the M&P.

those look exactly like the ones I made. and I buy silhouette targets for 1$ a sheet.

PVC on bottom is the only way to go. I think I used a thicker base for my stands.

I"m interested in getting my first gun...  something to take to a shooting range or something.  Anything you guys can recommend?  I'm loving the look of those dracos elderwatson posted...  but i might be too green for those
