NTers going through lifestyle changes

Living life and being really happy to being diagnosed with a rare congenital defect and having half my right lung removed has been a pretty hard adjustment.

Don't think my life will ever be the same. Can't really do much anymore.
Just seeing you post here is gift enough homie.

Went 100% legit, But it's humbling going from 15-30k a month to 5-6k with taxes ,insurance and 401k coming out your check. Went from New Orleans ,atl , l.a. , Vegas to boring *** San Antonio . Went from 6 cars to 2 . Went from lean , coke and anything under the sun to just regular liquor and champagne. Went from not being religious at all to studying buddahism , yoga and meditating . Actually talk to my parents more than I ever had . Still got my faults though I'm more reactive than proactive , way to chill and laid back . Since I stopped using I've gain a ton of weight went from swole to big in a few months so I got to get that in order ASAP. On the way to 30 next year so hopefully everything will be 100 by then. But I'm not gonna lie I do miss being able to get what I wanted to get when I wanted it , glad I got some stashed away to make this transition a lot more easier

I kinda want to know more but would understand if you dont tell

I say moving out is a huge jump for anyone. Makes you realize how important money is and will even make you stop buying dumb stuff or make you want to get more money. That's a good start though. Also move out of your comfort zone. Go move to another city or state if you can. It's like starting fresh where you can literally be a new person.

This is the answer to everyone who wants to change. It's only occured to me recently.

This right here is why I don't trust a lot of people I meet these days, especially women. :lol People can be whoever they want others to believe they are in a new setting, especially here in SF where a lot of young people from all over the country are flocking to.

Started finally saving my money like I should have been all along and seeing it grow is motivation.

Jordan Belfort? 8o

On the real though, keep it up man. It must be hard transitioning from such lavish life to what you got right now, but hey, there's a lot of people out there who have nothing. Just appreciate what you have right now and keep going forward. :smokin :D

Not even lol . Yeah most don't make it out , but for instance I'm at la cantera in San Antonio at regular *** Neiman Marcus and I'm budgeting out my money lol. All I can say is I'm grateful I didn't knock up no ******* or stripper the last 10+ years

Met a new girl friend who has helped me change my lifestyle for the better. Graduated from college and moved to LA from SD and having a job right after college, it was nice to make this money and be able to spend and buy all these things I always wanted to buy in college. I really enjoyed my time since I moved to LA and went out with the guys at least once a week for bottle service at clubs and really wasted money recklessly. I won't lie though, I had the time of my life and I don't regret what I did because I learned a lot from it, dated a lot, knew what kind of girl I didn't want to be dating from all these experiences and met a really nice girl who is currently my girl friend. I cut out the clubbing/wasting money and now that I am serious with her, although I'm 24 and marriage isn't something I'm trying to do within the next year, it definitely is around the corner and I want to have my money saved up for a future with my current girl friend. I've started to become much smarter with my money and have got my 401k set up and I'm definitely just trying to focus on my future as much as possible instead of burning through all the money on stuff I don't need right now. Hopefully I can keep this up and save enough to put as a downpayment for a house soon!

Props to all the NTers changing their lifestyles for the better!

One thing I'm surprised I didn't mention here is my health.. for nearly two years I was suffering back/neck/ear problems. I got health benefits from work and started hitting up the doctor. They put me through a physical therapy program which eliminated some of the pain. I still suffer from the three but not as much. I use a rumble roller / neck king that really helps with my neck and back. My ear is still messed up slightly, but I can still hear thankfully. Physical pain really makes stress so much worse and I'm glad to be relieved from some of it, I've noticed how much more energy I have now. I depended on alcohol A LOT just so I wouldn't feel the pain.

To the brotha that got his lung removed, God bless and hope you'll carry through life with as much strength as possible.
