NT, What Beer Do You Drink?

I love cream ales.

Love the nice, crisp, super drinkability. And that they're so clean - you can't have a single imperfection because there's nowhere to hide them.

True. So many "world class" IPAs suck after 3 weeks. Talk about a paper dragon.. But I guess it's working for so many. Making thousands of dollars and expanding in the process.

Yet I've had 3-4 month old pilsners and lagers that are still so lively. I think we need a Renaissance back to the purist days of the pilsner.

First part of the Philly trip (Saturday, Sunday, Monday AM) was good. Made it to Tired Hands Saturday night...it was great. Went with the Pina Colada Milkshake, Permashore, Dystopian Forest, Alien Baphomet & Throbbing Grisette. All were really, really good.

And thanks for the offer, but our return trip will be crazy. Getting back in Friday afternoon & have to get to the hotel then to Penn's Landing for the Frank Turner, Jason Isbell & Chris Stapleton show. Then Saturday we're spending the day with old friends then flying out at 9p.

All good man. I still haven't had that piña colada milkshake. I'm kinda jealous. The dystopian ipa was very good and so was the alien baphomet.

This is a really interesting beer. Really good, just kind of an odd mix of tastes. It tastes like a very mildly boozy imperial IPA at first and then finishes with some mocha and chocolate notes. It's over 9% so I'm trying to take my time with opening a second one. Really want to tho.

I've been straight Two Hearted, Bud Light and Invasion Pale Ale lately. Nothing fancy, but delicious.

Once upon a time, #9 was like my favorite beer. I had one about 4 months ago and it sucked pretty badly. I'd take one over a Bud Light 7 out of 7 days in a week though.


I asked dude if that's what he meant because I think he lives in Portland, ME, in which case there are a LOT of awesome beers that are local to him.

Definitely one of their superior canned offerings.  I don't wanna compare it to their double IPAs (Tesseract, Lambo Door, Afterimage, etc.), but this is easily the best canned single IPA that Grimm makes.  Definitely on the lookout for more.

In a rut choice wise. Not into summer ales/hefes and not really into fruit beers. I really enjoyed the turbodog. In fact I think its my favorite brown ale thus far as compared to newcastle and BB.

This.  It's a pretty common.  Welsh Rarebit is a really popular bar snack.  It's beer cheese (usually made with a stout or a porter) served over a thick cut of toast with Worcestershire sauce drizzled over it.

I just picked up that Brown Note last weekend in VA. Along with a Sho'Nuff from the same brewery. I'm not a huge fan of brown ales or belgians, but the dude at the bottle shop was adamant that I try them, so I bought a can of each.

Revisited blue moon and Sam Adams summer ale this past weekend. There's something bad about 90% of Sam Adams beers. Very sweet non refreshing sort of vibe. Blue moon felt alright actually.

Mangudai954, being in a rut sucks. I try to switch it up with massive variety. Many of the same favorites, but always something new.

it's supposed to hit 102 here where I'm at. Not really in the mood to drink but still went crazy. Some are father's day gifts. Should be a fun weekend. I will say I don't care for the summer ales either. Goses are nice. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with going back to pilsners or lagers when it's so hot out.

Tw stupid with their prices. St. Lupulin is $10/6 or $18/12. Their O'Dell ipa is $8.99/6 or $19/12. No incentive to buy the ipa in bulk at all.

Gf sculpin just 10 days old. Sucks about 28
Pilsner urquell a deal at $14/12 vs $8.99/six.
Only non deal was the passion fruit Avery beer. Went with two 4 packs
New Belgium has a collaborative pack out. $12.50, six different beers. Going deep with those tonight and a revisit on st. Lupulin.
Two local fsvorites, a ipa and a pale lager. Dos equis for that 'not thinking about nothing' refreshment.
