I don't think Tyler Perry is as ridiculous as the reaction in here. I see it as similar to the role Vince Vaughn took in True Detective. He's not a bad dramatic actor.

Perhaps who he is will hurt in that a lot of people won't be able to see past him or just see Madea, so I get that.

Man, denzel may be the go to black guy but he would've played this role so good that they may have had to reopen the damn case.

They should have just gave Denzel anything he wanted and let him go to work. Show is really good as is, but could have been GOAT status with Denzel as OJ and Travolta as Shapiro
