NT: The People v OJ / 30 for 30: OJ

They should hit yall with a dose of the Kardashians every ep now :lol

I feel like the writers weren't just trolling yall but the Kardashians themselves. That speech about fame being fleeting and hollow and being a virtuous person :lol Also why they got Rob Jr. acting like that?
Exactly. That's becoming more and more clear to me.. it's not pandering to the Kardashians and their fans.. they're making fun of them.

Agreed. I realized after tonight that they are exposing the fact that the Kardashian name that it is today wouldn't be without their dad being involved in the trial. Plus, I think showing the relationship with Rob and the kids is essential to who he was compared to Shapiro, Cochran, and even OJ. He was there as Juice's best friend, that's really it.

And @Master Zik I believe 1 f-bomb per season. I could be wrong but I remember BB did it like that.

They are for sure trolling the kardashians

QFT, underlined & bold, I'm surprised a lot of other people don't realize how much this case eventually helped the Kardashians flourish.

Hard to believe OJ was this whiny... Dude complained his country club golfers weren't visiting him :lol

On a bright note travolta is KILLIN this Shapiro role

OJ was very whiny, especially during those times, dude said "I'm not black, I'm OJ" :eek :{ :lol

John is definitely killin his role as Shapiro!! I think everyone is doing a great job so far.

there were a lot of wives swapping and sharing

isnt oj gonna be up for parole in a yr?

i peeped that too but i didnt think they were legit. :lol

FX being lazy.

I can't not laugh when I see David Schwimmer with that damn hairstyle acting serious

Show is legit

Casting is really on point except for OJ

Who do you think should've played OJ instead?

I think Cuba is doing a great job.

His acting has been solid but he doesn't fit OJ's build at all. Also as someone else mentioned he comes across as a whinier.

I don't know who they could've gotten instead. Denzel would've been great but obviously not realistic for FX to get

Denzel would not have been a good choice to play OJ IMO. I think they got it right with Cuba.

Yeah I did a quick mental rundown of other candidates and Denzel immediately came to mind.

Then I realized Denzel is 61, 7 years younger than OJ whereas Cuba is 47 which I think was the age of OJ at the time. Plus I can't imagine Denzel doing a TV role.

Cuba is doing a good job. Is he the most convincing OJ? No. He's a small-statured man and doesn't really possess a convincing mean-streak. His voice is very meek (Mills) to boot.

That said, he does a good job of evoking the emotion OJ was expressing. OJ was legit losing it and Cuba captures that well. He's doing the best job he can.

Agreed. Plus OJ was always a whinier, even before the case, so I think Cuba is doing a good job expressing that.

Mentally, OJ was a little off, Cuba played Radio who was a little off as well so it all makes sense to me :lol

FX being lazy.

they also said he was a local kid from Galileo High...but that's in SF. I assume Darden and his neighbors were in LA at that time.

This and when Marcia and Darden were talking about OJ being a local kid from the streets. SF is like 350 miles away. The Bay Area and LA are two different worlds
