As for tips.. add some onions and garlic to the meat mixture as well as bread crumbs. It will keep it moist.

You can find recipes/directions online if you just google "meatloaf recipes". Flavoring is up to you. I usually use ketchup, but bbq sauce is good as well.
Can you cook me some of your meatloaf? I just want to see if it's good.

I don't use bread crumbs, so I don't know. Fanatic15 probably does.

always asking for recipees but damn, I recommended Sweet Baby Ray's his last thread and it got completely overlooked. This sauce is literally crack in a bottle similar to a hand-to-hand transaction.

I'd say like 1/2 to 3/4 cups of bread crumbs. You can use the stove top stuff if you want but make sure you can crumb it up (like w/ a foodprocessor or w/ a good ol zip top bag and mallet)

.

I was going to mention something else but it totally slipped my mind

i wouldnt use bread crumbs, regular sliced bread works better.

the way i make it is:

preheat oven to 375
put the meat in a big bowl
add:
chopped onions and garlic
3 or 4 slices of bread
1 egg
pepper, garlic powder, and some seasoned salt

mix everything together (works best to just get in there with your hands and smush it all together. messy and gross but works)

form into a "loaf" shape in a roasting pan and bake around 40 minutes or untill done.

sometimes i top it with bacon and ketchup before baking, add a nice little touch.

another way to do it is to make smaller individual meatloafs and bake. it can shorten the baking time and if youre cooking for a few people they might thinkits cool. I do this when I'm cooking for more than 6 people, then I can make sure there is enough for everyone when i make each one their own.

best served with some homemade mac and cheese

Garlic powder is... decent, I guess.

But if you can get a real head of garlic, do that... then roast about a half dozen cloves, mash it all up, and add that to the meat.

That'll give you a nice, STRONG, AUTHENTIC garlic flavor.

Nevermind the advice I just gave you. Use a dozen sticks of bubble gum.

No, no, no... bubble gum.

Use a dozen sticks of bubble gum.

It's great!

take 2 lbs of ground beef, add 2 lightly beaten eggs, 1 pack McCormick meatloaf seasoning, 1/2 cup dry, Italian seasoned bread crumbs, 40z of Hunts tomatosauce (get an 8 oz can, you'll see later), and add about a quarter teaspoon of basil, and oregano, and garlic powder. (that's assuming you just havedry cause most people don't have fresh, if you do, use it but use a bit more). Mix it all up put it in a pan, and bake at 375 for about an hour(do it for50 minutes and check it). Then take it out, drain the fat juice out. Then add the sauce on top. The sauce consists of the last 4 oz of the hunt's tomatosauce, 1 tablespoon dry mustard, 3/4 cup ketchup, and 6 tablespoons of brown sugar all mixed together until smooth. Top the meatloaf and put it back in for10-15 minutes.

how ever you make the meat loaf is whatever.

But for the topping..........Ketchup+Brown sugar, spread it on top the last 5-10 minutes of baking=
