You could lose 20lbs doing 10 minutes of cardio if you wanted. Hell you can lose weight without doing ANY cardio.I weigh probably 211. I could stand to probably lose 20 pounds but I don't run enough or do cardio for longer than 30 minutes.
Maybe you can do interval, HiiT, etc.

I have really flat feet (have to wear the most correcting dr scholls inserts) and asics do me well. But the people at the running store should be able to help you outAnother runner checking in, I'm more so a distance runner than speed (9-10 minute miles :\ ). As far as winter running gear, I stocked up during the Spring (good time to buy) in Nike compression pants from City Sports (50% off). I've been probably too loyal to Nike for running shoes over the years and I'm looking for a pair with good arch support, any suggestions?
I also recently bought this Garmin watch and love it, I've been looking for a fitness band with a watch that's not too clunky, it also has Bluetooth connectivity so I receive text and e-mail messages on it; definite plus during winter runs when you don't want to stop to see if you have any messages.

What kind of Garmin watch do you have? I use the Garmin Fenix 2 (multi sport)Asics Kayano.
I have never ran into that problem.Might abandon the iPod for the phone now. Nike+ never syncs properly on iTunes.
I refuse to run on a treadmill. Its so much better being outside getting fresh air than being in some stuffy gym.Pretty muchThis is why I prefer trail running over being on a track. I remember running 5 miles on a track one time, and 4 on a treadmill and it was the worst **** ever
