Meh, that AR12 example is what I had in mind when I asked the original question, that doesn't bother me. I still don't have a problem with the use of literally. Maybe cuz I use it often.

But the NBA thread example was egregious lol.
 
Yea the Aaron Rodgers situation translates to, "He actually threw the game away" or "He literally pulled a figuratively."

I wish literally really had the meaning that people use it for. “She was so beautiful my penis literally grew 16 inches”.
 
I understand the nuance that the term 'literally' has adopted. Ironically, it no longer means literally all the time when people use it, and I'm ok with that. It's simply used to express great emphasis now. It's basically evolved to a slang term.

I bet y'all would've had a fit in the 80s when bad started to mean good.

"Mines" annoys me and, l know it's not the same but I'm seeing waaaay more people put the dollar sign after the number and it annoys me more than it should.
