It's a male dominated world, and certain men find lighter skin more attractive, feminine and "pretty". Pretty is an adjective used to describe femininity.

I say certain men, because lighter skin preference in women is NOT universal. I'm convinced only black NTers from the DMV care that much about a girl's skin color. Some men actually like their women darker-eg some white men like ethnic looking women/tanned women.

There's a fine line between a pretty boy and a metrosexual, imo. Metrosexuals will be those dudes you see and not know whether they're suspect or notbecause they'll hang out with groups of girls, know all the gossip, etc. Being a pretty boy doesn't entail that.

I can't believe I'm talking about this as if it's a serious matter.

I've been called pretty-boy in the past. I've always associated this term with femininity which is not something I strive for. Im gonna shake thatimage this year and go hard in the gym. Once I'm 6'5 250 I doubt the word pretty is gonna come to mind.

was never called it in high school. Was wearing glasses, had braces from sophmore to senior year, was getting fatter every year. When I lost the glasses andgot contacts, when the braces went away, and when the weight was gone.
