That 1980 thing is ridiculous when you think about it.

31 years of Finals and at least 1 of those 7 players has been in it every time except for 1?

Whats even crazier is that I initially thought it was only 21 years, then I realized that it was already 2011....

It would be better to say that these are the first finals without Isiah, Jordan, Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan and Kobe since 1988. Or if we were to add Magic and Bird to these names, then we could go all the way back to 1980... Or that this is only the second finals without Magic, Bird, Jordan, Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan and Kobe since 1980.

One of my favorite such streaks is that from 1994 to 2003 (10 seasons), the NBA champion had either Robert Horry or Steve Kerr on them.
