That has nothing to do with the point. How can he be overrated if literally everyone, from NT to Outside of NT, all say he's overrated :lol

Exactly. An illustration why I don't like the concept of "overrated" and try not to use the term. People throw it out there without first thinking about that the person/thing is actually "rated."
Keep any and all Chris Paul talk in this thread please:

http://niketalk.com/t/626875/the-elite-chris-paul-thread

Will have to start using the report button soon if it doesn't happen. We're here to discuss two teams that are vying for a championship, not an overrated PG that can't get out of the second round. Thank you and good luck.
My man. :lol

There's plenty of people that overrate CP, just been ghost is all, lately. Hard to defend a guy who choked away a 3-1 lead. Can we stop talking about him?

They have gold fish memories they will be back in January claming he's top 5 after a 15 assist game

No one is crying, just keeping the thread on topic. You don't see people talking about Andy Dalton in the Super Bowl thread, so there's no reason to talk about Chris Paul in the NBA championship thread.

Luckily there's a place for CP3 talk:

http://niketalk.com/t/626875/the-elite-chris-paul-thread

There you go, sport. Have at it!

I hear what you saying but honestly, this thread BEEN off topic. We got talks about Michael, Kobe, AI, CP3, Russ, etc.

True, this thread been off topic, but talking about AI, MJ, Russ is actually a nice change of pace from talking about CP. CP talk has been done to death. Literally comes around every so often all year round

I dont know who andy dalton is but I know who russell westbrook is, who michael jordan is, who kobe is, I know who they are.

But you weren't saying this when they were being discussed. Guess they dont fit your corny old little Schick. Jig is up for yall man

you a fan. you never thought he was overrated to begin with.

NT is the only place ive seen call him overrated. I personally think the better topic of discussion is whether or not the position is overrated. As in, is it worth it to have a PG as the best player on your team. Outside of Curry this year, history has shown superstar PG's that lead the team dont win chips. Its the 2 and 3's everyone is looking for in order to win.

As you kids like to say in here, FAX B.

Those 2's and 3's essentially are the pg's though so I wouldn't say the position is overrated, but an argument can be made that your best player has to be efficient with size to win for sure.

Steph about to prove a lot of people wrong lol

Not necessarily. Especially if he only does it once. Could be an outlier.

Lol doesn't matter. Only needs to do it once. The statement is not 'can't win multiple times with a pg as a number one option,' the statement is 'you can't win with a pg as a number one option'

If thats how you wanna look at it :lol

Thats like saying the saying of "you'll die if you jump from 10 stories high" is wrong because one person survives while doing it lol

I wasn't around for Albert Einstein, but I know he was a genius. That's what history is for.

Regarding Mike, regarding this statement:

"people were talking about how he would never win because he was too selfish and didnt trust his teammates"

That's absolutely true. Revisionist history would be trying to deny that because it doesn't fit how someone wants him to be remembered.

Too bad.

That's absolutely true. I remember.

IDK man. Maybe it's cuz I'm from a different area and MJ was worshipped. I'm not saying my experience is fact either

Well yea, that'd be wrong too, if someone survives it. What's wrong with you. If the statement was 'dying is likely when falling off a a 10 story building' and the person survives, then the statement would be intact. It's about the wording.

Lol ok

This:
people were talking about how he would never win because he was too selfish and didnt trust his teammates
And this:
MJ was worshipped.
are not mutually exclusive. They both happened, but once he started winning rings, the critics and criticisms decreased, naturally.
