IGN's review even reads better than a 9 but Jose is a harsh reviewer imo. His biggest gripe is lack of checkpoints. I wonder of that gets patched

Super Mario Maker will be compatible with a whole bunch of controllers. In addition to the GamePad, players can use the Wii U Pro Controller, Wii Remote, and Classic Controller.
