Because he had all the tools and he had the knowledge of his predecessors, where they went wrong to surpass him.

He had a little bit more sizable body, which gives him even more versatility. Him, Jordan and Wilt have the greatest genetic lottery God gifts of all time in the game of basketball in terms of body, durability and athleticism.

Could have been goat up until he totally quit on his team in the 2010 Eastern conference semi finals, when they were up in the series versus the Celtics, in a still very winnable series, were they were the actual favorites. But all that physical tool goes to show you, why Michael was the greatest.

He too had all the alien-esque physical tools. He had all the skills. But most importantly, he had the intangibles that it revealed itself in later years, that LeBron just doesn’t have.

A guy who was a top three player in the league, second best within Bron’s own conference and the fourth best shooting guard of all time, which would’ve been tantamount to Jordan needing to join forces with say Charles Barkley just to beat the Bad Boy Pistons.

Oh, and his third option was a franchise caliber max contract 20/10 power forward, Chris Bosh. A 90s equivalent to him would’ve been say, conservatively Danny Manning or Larry Johnson.

Yes Mike had Scottie, but Mike groomed Scottie into a mini version of himself.

Pip wasn’t some superstar out of the gates his first 2 1/2 to 3 years in the league. And really wasn’t truly mentally ready to be a supporting star until the 91 season.

LeBron 2013 title? An absolute joke of in conference competition, meanwhile he had the most cowardly easiest road possible consolidated level of talent. And barely beat any 50+ win teams in his runs to the finals with those Heat teams.

And then in the finals played like pretty much dog **** for the first 5 1/2 games until game six.

A game and series that was totally saved by a magical long rebound and Ray Allen’s miracle shot in said game 6.

And then in game seven he finally did what he should’ve done the whole series, where it shouldn’t have been extended to seven games to begin with, which was shoot WIDE open jumpers that the spurs were begging him to take the whole series with fat slow of foot Boris Diaw on him the majority of the series.

Then lost in 2014.

Which caused Curry in anger to throw his mouthpiece for the absolute ******** calls they were making against him. And for his annoying wife to call it rigged on Twitter or whatever.

And then Kyrie was the one shouldering the burden of taking the biggest shot in Cleveland franchise history. Legit, but not as glamorous when having an eye for detail and context.

In the Mickey Mouse bubble chip of 2020? A total joke.

Stagnated season throwing off everybody’s momentum, allowing older players like LeBron or injury prone players like Anthony Davis to rest up. In combination with a level of detachment from many of the normal teams who were picked and should’ve been legit contenders that season. The Miami Heat were a sixth seed but made it to the finals and made the finals just because they had one other player who cared enough besides LeBron to win it in Jimmy Butler.

And almost battled this self proclaimed GOAT to a stand still and LeBron was guarding him

Butler - 26 ppg, 8 rpg, 10 apg, 2 spg on 55%
LeBron - 30 ppg, 12 rpg, 9 apg, 1 spg on 59%

So LeBron averaged 4 more ppg in the matchup. Two baskets. Against his positional opponent. A non mvp candidate. 4 more rebounds (defensive, big deal) and 1 less apg and 1 less spg.

Now destroying your next best positional competitor and runner up MVP looks like this;

Jordan - 36 ppg, 5 rpg, 7 apg, 2 spg on 53%
Drexler - 25 ppg, 8 rpg, 5 apg, 1 spg on 41%

At the same age, 36, in 1999 … if the Bulls didn’t blow up the team around Mike. Jordan and the Bulls would’ve won their 7th and fourth straight easily. 8th seed Knicks sans Ewing made the Finals. SMH

NBA basketball 90% mental and 10% physical. Everyone in the NBA is an elite athlete. Most can run and jump are big.

There’s been over 4500 players that have played in the NBA and there’s only one GOAT.

There’s many players whose physical attributes were better than Kobe’s, but they didn’t end up being better than Kobe.

Bottom line, Lebron “Shouldn’t” have been anything. He is who is. He has exceeded all expectations and exceeded all of the hype from when he entered the league.

Yes he has faults as well as others but GOAT status is earned through play an no player “Should’ve” been the GOAT.

Could he have done things differently? Yes.

I agree.

Once you get used to playing in lows it’s kinda hard to go back to playing in mids or highs…at least that’s my experience.

Last few seasons Bron has suffered some ankle injuries so maybe playing or making him a higher cut shoe has something to do with it. And yes of course that doesn’t mean those will offer more ankle support, but lots of people think they do so that’s all that matters

When NBA players play against regular people, they never miss and always win.

When the lights come on in an NBA arena and it’s game time, it’s a different story.

Physical here I assume by what you said means everything but the mental aspect right. So skill? Speed? Power?

Cause Giannis mowing people over is 90% mental. Cause Shaq and Barkley didnt just overpower everyone in their way. Cause Kyrie and Iverson werent very skilled. Wilt was literally a machine, stronger faster than the plumbers he was going against. Durant one of the most skilled players ever, Curry greatest shooter ever.

But youre saying these guys success is due 90% cause of their mentality and only 10% of their physical gifts?
