I have both, the 2's and 3's and from my experience they both are really good but not on that D Rose level of great traction.

What's everyone's thoughts, opinions on the traction / grip on these 3's and if you have played in the 2's what's do you think compared to each other?

I own 3 pairs on the 3's. Black Ice, Warnings & Time To Shine.
I love the look of the shoe & do want to move into making these my go to shoe and step away from the 2, but I just feel the traction is absolute trash.
I finally broke out and tried my TS today as I thought/hoped the translucent sole may have a better grip than my 2 white soled black ice & warnings. As I do want to pick up the Flip The Switch but don't want to gamble if again they are garbage. So tried the TS and again same lack of traction.

Tried the 3 on various floors and always the same.
The fit is nicer than the 2 but to me the top thing in my playing shoes has to be traction so the 2 beats the 3's hands down.
Anybody else find this?


Ranting on as I'm just p#ssed about this as I don't even think they are good traction wise for getting shots up.

For me I feel like the 3's are a combination of the 1 and 2. Fits more snug on feet than the 1's with the traction/grip of the 2's. I play 2-3 times a week and have been using the black ice since Feb. I've gone back to wearing the 2's last night and the grip on them is just as good as the 3's IMO. 

Mind you the gyms I play at have relatively dirty, unkept floors. I would love to play both shoes side by side on a CLEAN floor to see how they really perform.

They come with black I just had some blue laces that matched the midsole speckle and a bit of the swoosh and kyrie logo so decided to change em

In store the flip the switch was underwhelming to me. They were an automatic cop before I seen them in person. Really appreciating the black ice and BHM now.

I wasn't expecting it but there will not be a Kyrie 3 Elite according to an interview with Leo Chang someone did in the KD 9 thread:

Will there be an elite Kyrie  3, if not for the Playoffs, maybe to start next season?

No, because with the launch season of Kyrie being in spring, it’s too close to the Playoffs, which is in the summer season (footwear calendar).
