Was able to snag my Moonwalkers early. Just a quick shot, as I haven't had a chance to try them on or really look them over. I will say, on first glance, it seems like the knit may be a little different from the OG Flyknit 9's. I'll have to check them against my other colorways at home to verify. Overall, really happy with them, though.

A great Protro would have used the knit from Lebron 16s. Wasn’t fuse backed. Or even Kobe 10 that was an upgrade over the 9s. Nike is lazy though.

Nike’s not likely to change much about the DNA of the original… if anything at all. At most, I’d expect a true Protro to just come with updated cushioning.

I’m still disappointed in the react drop ins. Nike is doing ZoomX drop ins for LeBron now, but the Kobe 8/9 is stuck with react? Why? They could even do an upgraded zoom air drop in for the Kobe 8/9 and sell it separately.

i mean it’s true in the sense that they’re not as popular as the 4, 5, 6, 8, 11 or even 1. and kobe only playing 6 games that season didn’t help

I totally get that. But it also wouldn’t mean they’re less popular than just a few of those models you listed.
Out of those you listed, I’d probably only throw the 5s and 6s ahead. The 11s aren’t ahead from everything I remember when those released. Think tech wise, 9s had 4s and 8s beat. Especially with how the 8s would bottom out after a while playing in mine consistently. (I believe that was a pretty big complaint back then too)
