Nike Kobe 9 Protro

well 9s bottomed out since they used lunarlon too. Performance was a beast obviously but thing is, what memorable moments did he have in them or what made the shoe itself memorable?

Kobe 1 - 81 pts, Phoenix buzzer beater, 1st shoe in his line

Kobe 11 - 60 pts in his final game, last model that he wore

Kobe 4 - 09 Finals, 61 at MSG, first lowtop, etc.

I don’t think they are underrated performance-wise because everyone knows they perform nice.

But legacy-wise that’s where i feel they don’t really stack up to the other models. They are kinda forgettable.

Most iconic moment for the Kobe 9 for me would be passing MJ in total career points. These need to come back.

Out of those you listed, I’d probably only throw the 5s and 6s ahead. The 11s aren’t ahead from everything I remember when those released. Think tech wise, 9s had 4s and 8s beat. Especially with how the 8s would bottom out after a while playing in mine consistently. (I believe that was a pretty big complaint back then too)

loved playing in the 4's. better for my feet than either the 8 or 9

The 9s were really popular from what I remember. Most colorways sold out and the 9 ems were considered an upgrade to the 8s. Neither shoe stack up to sneakers now though.

High tops absolutely sold out for sure. Really tough to get. The Flyknit lows weren't much easier.

Damn, 220 is pretty steep. I have some shoes I should probably get around to selling off to offset some of the costs if I end up going for these moonwalkers. Or is there any chance they sit and go on disco on Nike?

Indeed. But at least in my city the 9 EM wasn’t highly coveted by many. Shoot, they were fine with me. They were my summer shoe of 2014. Ran these two colorways to the seams.

Mo Williams of all players sold me on these lol.

I had the pop art EM 9s as well and really loved them. The mesh does not have any pattern unlike the 8s, so having a graphic printed really elevates the design.
