Wore mine over the weekend and came to really appreciate the lighter edges.

I still think that these have been the most accurate looking retro besides 11's that have released since. of course besides the tongue. wonder if anyone has tried to apply a matte finish to the tongue if it was dull it would be damn near og minus Durabuck although this nubuck looks really close.

I'm so glad I got these easy on release day July 2016 because a former associate of mine who was an assistant manager at Champs hooked it up for me via raffle system. She ensured I would get on the list to pick up on release day. I'm glad I tried to be smart to use my hookup sparingly to get these.

She also hooked me up in December 2015 with the Maroon VI besides these black/metallic V.

Material on the upper looks wrong, and is missing the raw edges (I'll toss a picture or two at the end for a point of reference.)

Plastic eyestay pieces look like cheap hole-punched squares instead of the rounded squares on real pairs.

The tongue's reflective material should look glossy. Also, even factoring in poor quality control on real pairs; the tongue on that pair is excessively jagged and sloppy in various places (look at the jumpman and the border around it.)

There's more that can be pointed out, but that should be enough to illustrate the point.

Yeah speaking of the jumpmans, the right shoe jumpman is a lighter red than the left. At first I thought it may just be the lighting but nope.

I had 3. I sold off one. I regret it now.
Funny thing is the V was not even in my crosshairs. My mind was on other Retros. I still had a hangover from the 11 retro release etc. but then the silver tongue dropped and then everyone was offloading these blk/silver thanks in part to the documentary.

so early January my collection was stolen and I was left with a few pairs of sneakers. It was truly a devastating experience that I wish on no sneakerhead. Well I figured I'd be doing small updates here and there of the shoes I do pickup but here was a steal I found locally for $50. God is good and will continue to bless those who always put there best foot forward and treat others how they'd like to be treated. Anyways end rant here's the kicks!
