Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro "White/Cement" - The Aftermath - NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING

Should have my pair in hand Monday. I bought em from 23penny. eBay can be extremely sketchy at times.

Seen a few listings ppl trying to sell the 2012s as the 2016s, smh

Was even more confused by it cause he actually posted the most pictures of the 2016s leading up to RD, fake or not. He pointed out and criticized every single minuscule detail of the 2016s and how it was different from the 99s but asked for a legit check

I had a size 10.5 that I bought so I could size swap for a size 13. I couldn't find anyone willing to size swap. So I figured I'd help someone out and sold the pair to them for retail.

But my search for a size 13 continues

same like me
there was a time like from 2008-2013 when i was trying to cop my degree i actually didnt rock js. i was playing catch up

there were only a few moments when i opened my closet just to check up on stuff. they were ok then

now i see what happens when you dont wear some kicks. they split up and when a tiny crack or whatever comes in, the air splits it more open. rip to my 99-01 nikeairs js.

:lol its about time i start to wear my ds cdp III!

This is what I've been doing lately. The paint on my CDP 3s started to crack. As well as my 09 TBs. Beating em into the ground before they start to crumble. A good majority of the older kicks I got are still holding up well though.

this reminds me of the 90s, i used to have a marvel Wolverine action figure. joint was too nice for me to open, i'd just stare at it. its maybe the collector mentality, i bet j leno has some cars he bought and havent driven

I first learned of this phenomenon back in the 90's when I attended my first comicon show, where peeps told me they buy action figures but keep them in their packaging just to admire. The high price might have something to do with it. But I think it probably has more to do with the feeling of owning a culturally and historically precious / rare / valuable object, and the accomplishment of going to great lengths in order to achieve such an ownership.

It's like how Reebok and adidas retros used to be of much higher quality than any JB retro, but they can never achieve the same demand or command a high price in resale, cuz the historical and cultural impacts are missing.

I've had and still have some quite hard to get sneakers in my stable but I always wear them all in order to enjoy them. I think Leno actually drives all his cars as well once restored.

I gotta watch Just For Kicks again.

The no return policy doesn't hold up to be honest.

I disagree, that's how eBay has always worked. It's standard fare.

No way in the world I'm shipping off some J's and whoever tries'em on or whatever they may do or not like and then send them back to me. THAT'S DEAD!!!

Nah bruh, know what'cha buying from me before you agree.

I really need to grab a pair of these. I had other expenses tied up at the moment, but I need a pair badly.

That's me right now, with the French Blues. My finances said otherwise, but I knew I had to double up on these. Honestly, if things were a lil more liquid I would've tripled up EASILY.

Didn't know we were the same shoe size @Marz. They look legit.

More pics when you get'em though... Congrats [emoji]128077[/emoji][emoji]127998[/emoji]

Even though I'm young in the collecting game I got two pair coming up on 3 years old. The Tuxedo Low XI's, and Steel X's. I have 2 pairs of WC4, and I'm actually thinking about putting the Tuxedo's in rotation as opposed to pair 1 of the WC4's.

What'cha think!? What would you do [emoji]129300[/emoji]

I'd skip polling a sneaker board and wear what I wanted.

I'd also come to the conclusion that most members of said board dont care about what shoes another person wore. Life is short.

An interesting thought came to my head....is the cost of the shoes one of the reasons people keep their Jordans on ice for such a long time or never wear them at all, regardless whether or not you have doubles/triples? Does the fact you spent $200-300, sometimes even upwards of $400, affect people's decision to wear/not wear them?

More food for thought: if sought after jordans only cost $125 today like they did in the 80s, do you think more people would un-ds their shoes?

I think price does play a part. Also, all the work that goes into copping. It's like, I'm just gone go and rock'em sock'em robot!?

If it helps any, I'm still figuring out my strategy for wearing mine up until this very second...

7 out of my 10 pair of kicks (which include 3 huaraches) are DS. So I don't know, go figure!?

I feel you, and what you say is truth. However, I was simply soliciting opinions...

Decisions mine ultimately.

Got about 5 wears on em now and heh're breaking in nicely. Leather is soft around the toe box. Better cushioning in the heel. Wore them for about 12 hours yesterday with a lot of mall walking and my feet wasn't barking when I took them off. Good job JB. Make it the norm now and not the exception. View media item 1949478
