@ any of you DC catsthinkin NYC dudes weren't rockin foamposite pennies since 1997, i remember PLENTY of people pony in up 180 for the OG's back in the day...hell iremember the GIANT billboard around my house with the 1800 number and everybody either loving em or hating em.

Jewman in the BX had air forces after the intial run in 1982 too...ask around, plus NYC supported those harder then ya ever did...hence our own NYC uptowns inthe mid 90's.

as far as nike boots, i seen em all, i mean c'mon we're NYC, we get everything. ya must be refering to cats outside harlem/uptown/BX....because not allboros embraced the nike boot, and alot of people still swear by timbs all day.

If so do they run true to size, smaller, or bigger?..

baltimore has had several "b-more" exclusive af1s to date. most actually say "b-more" on them. now ask yourself... why would nike do that??hmmmm??

also, i went to morgan from '97 to around '02

and there was nothin but dc/pg cats, ny and of course baltimore. dc/pg and baltimore were def. rockinfoamposites and flightposites hard on the regular. even some dc/pg chicks were rockin them

(baltimore chicks would've never done that)

anyway, i don't htink i EVER saw nobody from ny rockin foams OR flights during my WHOLE STINT at college. all the ever rocked were dunk hi's, realtalk.

I had to get out of town and think. We traveled to NYC to have a chat with Udi (training camp). Udi is a rad dude. He always has something to say. His words are written in my sketch book, "if you want to TAKE a category, you have to MAKE a category". That's some pretty damn profound +$#*. My take on that was, you have to create a reason for your customer to go there, not just make another product. We went out that night with Udi and a few of his boys; somewhere in the meatpacking district. Udi wanted to show me the consumer that spends $160 on a pair of
fly boots and the kind of "hiking" they do on the dance floor. Nice. That hurt Udi, but he was right.

From NYC it was onto Italy. I always liked Milan. As an art student studying design in Switzerland for a term, I would get on the train and go to Milan every weekend. Sometimes I would ride in an empty boxcar because all the seats were taken. I don't know why that city is so special to me but it gave me energy and inspiration. Maybe it was all the models walking around, the amazing fashion, the scooters, the coffee, the food and the wine. It's like paradise in a certain cosmo way. So I spent a few days in Milan and then went to Paris. Some of my friends played a joke on me and changed my room reservation to this +$#* hole next to a brothel in Pigialle. Dirty, !#$+*% room. It was so bad that I didn't want to lay in the bed, so i got some wine, bread and cheese and got crazy $+$+#$ up.

home boy went to NYC, found his swag and created the nike boots....THE END
