i liked the way that shoe looked but couldn’t imagine walking around with a small pouch on each heel. i wonder if it flaps around and becomes a real irritant.

I have the OGs, and they’re unlike any other Lowcates. The pouches are detachable.
They also have a hidden compartment underneath the tongue that contains a waterproof (not sure if it’s GtX) shroud on each that extends and attaches to the buttons towards the toebox and on each side of the eyestay. Its purpose is to keep water out. The shroud also has ACG branding on it.

side note: i don’t own any mountain flys. thoughts on this pair and if they’re comfortable to walk around in?

^ Mountain flys are about as comfortable as it gets. Outstanding shoe in my opinion.

^ Have to agree. One of the most comfortable pairs I’ve ever had. And since JP¥ has been soooo weaker to US$ nowadays, visiting Japan should be really intriguing especially if u go on for shopping/eating…. BTW, that pair has been on NDC-JP long enough to get 30% off during their previous BF sale, IIRC (back to MSRP now) tho.

As far as ACG, the Mountain Fly 1 is the GOAT in my book! YMMV, but for me, every step is blissful.

Nike-JP will have Year End/New Year Sale from tomorrow’s 10am (on JST) and seems like these are included. But considering that you mentioned your size were sold out on NDC-JP, I guess you are bigger than size 12, right? If that’s the case here, have to say that it’d be really difficult to find such bigger size here in JP generally though.

i’m a small footer. i wear 8.5/9 in most shoes. i’m hoping to grab a 27cm but won’t be there until jan 15th and only for a few days. i saw a different pair on a+c but they’re not showing up now
