Yeah I mean it’s hard to argue we don’t need more/better fencing on the border (even Hillary agreed with this). This not only deters illegal immigration but also some other REALLY messed up stuff like human trafficking and drug cartel trafficking as well. But you need more than just a simple physical barrier to deter illegal immigration effectively-a better visa tracking program, drone surveillance on the border, etc. etc. are all necessary as well if you want to accomplish this.

Oh that comment wasn’t specifically directed at you, I personally know Trump supporters who agree that building a physical wall isn’t a good use of resources to prevent illegal immigration. His diehard supporters seem to think otherwise, which I simply don’t understand.

I don't have a problem with minorities coming here, the more the better. I want people to just come here legally. Not all not all not all illegals who come here do illegal activities, but some of them do. I just want us to attempt to vet the bad ones as thoroughly as possible. Some of the illegals who come here are entering urban areas, where unfortunately end up in illegal activities. I don't want these criminal type of people in urban communities that are suffering already, it will only add to the pain.

HIs stance on immigration, his relationship with North Korea, calling out of the fake news and his alignment with certain basic christian beliefs are just some to name a few. I know some will look at his christian beliefs and stance as a step back, I understand, I'm just saying for me personally it aligns.

Makes complete sense to me. They are in a struggle to maintain the demographics of the country. They don't care that the demographic with the highest percentage of degrees (undergrad and grad) in the US is African immigrants or that children and grand-children of immigrants fare better economically than their parents and grand-parents, or that immigrants are net contributors to the tax basket (illegals included). They don't care about any of that.
Unfortunately, minority Trump supporters are also super ignorant of the political history of this country and they drink the law-and-order koolaid without noticing the racist aftertaste.

To assert that some african countries are in chaos you only have to look at the white genocide that is taking place against white south african farmers. Not sure if your aware, but a political party has arisen in SA that seeks to take away all of the white farmers land with no compensation. There have even been multiple acts of violence against these white farmers. These farmers have been forced out of their homes and into makeshift places with no help from government or police down there. A lot of them are being killed but not enough to be recognized as a genocide going on, unfortunately may happen when its too late.

I think you missed my point with my post-they believe illegal immigration is a huge problem yet believe in addressing it in an extremely ineffective and fiscally inefficient way (building a giant wall). This is what I don’t understand.

This man has done zero good for this country. ZERO. He inherited a strong economy and through asinine tariffs that he doesn't even understand and wars waged against US-based companies he has put us on the brink of a recession. And if you think he shares "Christian" values as stated in an earlier post, you are a rube, a dupe, and a mark. That man hasn't EVER opened a bible, none of his actions or policies throughout his entire vile life have reflected a single Christian teaching (I challenge you to refute this - show your work), and every action he has taken has literally been the antithesis of Christianity, regardless of sect.

If they wanted to really address the issue of immigration, the way to do it would be to look at those who overstay. The thing is, they would be catching a lot more French, Irish, Australians who have overstayed (as a permanent resident here, I can tell you that I have met quite a few of them who are engaging in the same ICE-dodging behavior that brown immigrants are accused of, with the added knowledge that their whiteness and accepted accents give them a pass).
They don't want to do what you suggest because they are OK with white immigrants, legal or otherwise; ICE doesn't patrol the Irish or Eastern European neighborhoods the way they raid Latino/Caribbean communities (just look at Trump's

I'm not going to read the first link, thats an opinion piece, so don't really care about that. What about employment rates being an all time low under him? Does he get any credit for that, or was that all on Obama? And I know the man isnt the picture boy for christianity, i wasn't trying to make him out to be. Im trying to be nice trying to say it politely, but I'm just not for gay marriage or the way we are handling transgenders right now. Meanwhile, back on track with the thread, looks like nobody kneeled tonight, and NBC made a point to show Chris Long during the anthem just kinda standing there. Still don't understand why the NFL didn't just tell the teams to change the pre-game "tick-tock" to play the anthem 10 mins earlier while the players and coaches are still in the locker rooms. Could've taken the decision out of everyone's hands. Makes no sense. But I still hope players show various forms of protests throughout the season.

What did I say that was homophobic or transphobic? Simply said I don’t agree with it. Lots of stuff I don’t agree that goes on. As far as transphobia is concerned it wasn’t till about a few years ago that it was largely considered a mental health problem. As someone who is constantly around people who have mental problems I feel that going along with their delusions is not helpful and post surgery suicide rates prove it. There’s another way out there to help these people. And remind me how I am a xenophobe, I welcome what I don’t know always like to learn. So try again with the blank insults.
