Wow,sad to see but glad for his own sake. Dude took a hell of a beating over the course of his career.

His career/accolades are already HOF wortbyso definitely not a bad time to hang it up.

Man was the heart and soul of the Panthers for years with Thomas Davis and Smitty and gave his blood, sweat and tears for them. Gonna be weird to see that squad without any of them anymore

I CANNOT imagine how much pain these guys endure, due to injures and surgeries. Their body’s have to be in so much pain

Thats sad but im glad he can leave on his own terms and healthy.

Its interesting what he said in the retirement video about always playing at a high level but thats what did him in with the concussions and injuries/hits but its also what got him to be one of the best if not THE best linebacker in a long time.

Crazy how far we've come along over the last decade. Would've been damn near unheard of seeing future HOFers retiring before 30 back then but now it's slowly becoming the norm. Happy forthe players taking their long term health and future into their own hands
